专升本英语语法考点之就近原则

就近原则，也称“邻近原则”、“就近一致原则”，即谓语与靠近的名词、代词（有时不一定是主语）在人称与数上保持一致的原则。

①在there be句型当中需要使用就近原则，如：There is a pen and two pencils on the desk.

②在either …or与neither…nor句型当中需要使用就近原则，如：Either you or Paul is responsible for this thing.

③在not…but句型当中需要使用就近原则，如：Not  you   but your father is to blame.

④在not only…but also句型当中需要使用就近原则，如：Not only you but also your sister is lovely.

需要注意的是，在倒装句中，谓语可与后面第一个主语一致。如：In the distance was heard the clapping of hands and the shouts of the people .
