start with a decision point

draw the tree from left to right

add branched for each option/alternative

if the outcome of an option is 100% certain, the brance is complete

if the outcome is uncertain add an outcome point

for possible outcome ,add a brach (with possible outcome and the relevant  probability)

evaluate the tree from right to left

-calculate the EV at outcome pointsO

-take the highest benefit at decision point
