学院简介

波士顿音乐学院真正成立是在1867年，是美国最古老的艺术院校，提供舞蹈、音乐和戏剧方面的课程。自创立伊始，学院已经培养了众多年轻优秀的表演艺术家。学院以多学科环境和深入社区参与而闻名，它在国际上被认为是艺术学院项目中的创新领导者，致力于提升表演艺术的各个方面。凭借着每年700多场演出和其开创性的理念，波士顿音乐学院已经确立了在艺术领域的重要地位。

学院的老师都是来自于各领域的杰出艺术家和领军人物，比如波士顿交响团、波士顿芭蕾舞团、Boston Pops orchestras、Boston Lyric Opera、Prometheus Dance等。波士顿音乐学院认为，对天才青年艺术家的最好和最有效的训练是在紧密环境下完成的。出于这个原因，它在战略上保持了一个由800多名本科生和研究生组成的学生团体，5:1的师生比例能让学生和教师之间产生一种有默契的联系，为个性化的关注提供了宝贵的机会。

申请表、护照或身份证复印件、个人艺术简历、两封推荐信（一封艺术推荐信，一封学术推荐信）、在校成绩单（须经波士顿音乐学院指定的机构评估）、作品集、申请费150美元等。

作品集要求

钢琴

· A prelude and fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier or another work by Bach that includes a fugue
· A complete sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, or Schubert
· A major work for solo piano from the Romantic Era (including Rachmaninoff)
· A solo piano piece from the second half of the 20th or 21st century
· One virtuosic etude, such as those by Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, or Ligeti

声乐

· All works are to be performed from memory
· Three art songs:One in ItalianOne in French or GermanOne in English (not in translation)
· No operatic arias, please

作曲

· Applicants to the B.M. in composition should submit a portfolio consisting of two to four recent works (no more) which were written in the last three years, at least one of which must be for two or more instruments.
· Scores should be legibly notated (by hand or by computer).
· Recordings of performances of your works, if available, are encouraged. Good quality midi is acceptable.

· Include an accompanying score for each submitted recording.
· Write a short essay describing your musical influences and areas of interest and what you hope to achieve as a composer.
