Now, Bush has taken to her website again to share even more thoughts. “It’s all so exciting!” she wrote on her website. “Since the last post, ‘Running Up That Hill’ has gone to No. 1 in Norway and Austria. This is such great news and we just heard today that it’s up from No. 8 to No. 4 in the U.S.”

“Running Up That Hill” originally appeared on Bush’s celebrated fifth album Hounds of Love, which she self-produced and composed largely with a Fairlight CMI—a groundbreaking digital sampling synthesizer. The single plays a key role and serves as a motif throughout the current season of Stranger Things. It’s also the favorite song of the character Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink.
