一般来说，自我介绍包括开场白、姓名、毕业院校、毕业专业、为什么读研、将来从事的方向、读研时的打算、结束语等等。

1、开场白比较简单，一般就是一个简单的问候和寒暄。
如：Good morning，dear distinguished teachers! I am very glad to be here for this interview.
其中要特别注意要与面试老师打招呼。

2、关于姓名，毕业院校，所学专业部分不是自我介绍的重点，同学们在讲这部分的时间基本就是面试老师们浏览个人简历的时间，这部分按部就班介绍就可以了。
参考表达：I am Li Ming. My English name is Jacky Lee. You can call me that if you’d like to. I am majored in Electronic Science and Technology, I will graduate from Xidian University in this coming July.

3、考研原因几乎是每个导师都会关心的问题，因此最好把这个问题就放在自我介绍里面说了。这部分的内容我们务必要让考官感到我们选择这个专业是经过深思熟虑的，是一个理性的选择而不是一时冲动。通常我们可以从以下三个方面来回答。
a、兴趣，即强调对所报考的专业怀有极大的兴趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就读的专业与报考的专业一致，则可以说明想继续深造(further education)的愿望。如果不一致，则要说明报考专业对你的吸引力(…appeals to/attracts me a lot)。

b、优势，即强调研究生相对于本科生在知识、学术方面的优势，如：知识面更广(wider knowledge)，学术更专业(more professional)，眼界更广阔等(broaden one’s horizon)。

c、益处，即强调考研对你的未来的积极影响(have a positive effect on…)，可以从求职、职业规划、人生经历等方面入手进行说明。可参考的词汇、短语如下：be helpful, contribute to, be beneficial to, be conductive to, be a definite advantage, become a strong point when it comes to… 等等。
对于那些在职考生或有工作经验的考生来说，考官乐于知道他们为什么(放弃工作而)重新学习。考生可以直言在工作发现某些知识或技能很重要，希望能通过学习在这些方面进行提高。
例: In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school and improve myself.
然后，可以在自我介绍中展现自己对未来的规划，其目的在于向老师们展示自己对时间、学习、人生有一定计划性和掌控能力。
参考回答：I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my graduate time. And I hope I can form a systematic view of ... and make a solid foundation for future profession after three years study here. After graduation. I would like to work as a .... I hope that in five years after graduation, I can....

最后，请务必表达出对来目标院校就读的强烈意愿。并给出一个明确的结束的信号。

01 四个经典范例：

一、Why do you choose our university?（为什么报考我校？）

各位小可爱们不要受网络上近似于开玩笑的回答的影响，比如“离家近”，“我觉得我能考上”等答案。回答者并没有披露他的笔试排名和学校状态。普通考生需要表达对报考院校的了解程度和向往之情，也就是我们通常所说的使劲夸。

但这个夸不是漫无目的的随便夸，而是建立在学校学科基础上的真心夸赞。并且建议不要对其他院校其他专业，尤其是考生本校本专业进行拉踩对比。

反例：

   I chose your school for a variety of reasons. The biggest reason is that it is close to my home. Secondly, the professional knowledge I have learned in the undergraduate colleges is mostly superficial, so I hope to go to your school for further study.

  （我是综合多种原因选择了贵校，最大的原因是离我家很近，其次是我在本科院校学习到的专业知识，很多都是表面皮毛，所以我希望到贵校进行进一步的学习。）

这样回答会让面试老师觉得考生是一个对母校不理解和对高等教育有偏见的学生，从而在心里为考生打了一个低分，这会影响到考生的最终成绩。面对这种问题，考生需要在对学校有了解的基础上有条理的夸赞报考院校。

正例：

    … University is an open professional university, which is not …

  （…大学是一所开放专业的大学，这不仅体现在优秀的师生资源上，更体现在…的校训中。贵校最吸引我的有以下三点：第一，先进的学术研究理念。尤其是…专业，最近获得了…奖项。第二，卓越的教学制度。发展了学生独立思考和继续学习的能力。第三，优美的环境。展现出贵校是一个硬件和软件设施协同发展的优秀高校。这是吸引我报考贵校的三点原因。）

    

二、What impressed you during your school year / this year?（在校期间/今年有什么令你印象深刻的事？）

这一问题是面试老师在从侧面考察考生在校期间的能力，部分考生会当成老师为了缓解紧张的气氛想听故事放松一下，于是长篇大论讲述了自己在学校的历史，请各位同学谨记，任何一个问题都跟面试有关，是面试老师在对考生的能力、性格等综合能力做直观判断。

反例：

   I joined the tennis Club when I first entered university, which was very helpful for my health. Later I stayed at the tennis club and convened new members to grow the club. During the postgraduate entrance examination, I worked very hard, studying for 10 hours a day. I think this is the most profound thing that I have experienced .

  （为保持我的健康，在刚进入大学的时候我就加入了网球社。后来我留任网球社，并召集了新的成员，将社团发展壮大。考研期间我非常努力，每天学习10个小时，我认为这是我经历的对我而言最深刻的事。）

类似上述并不正面回答问题，反而诉说流水账，且将重点放在自身经历不易上的回答，会给面试老师留下非常不好的印象，甚至认为考生是一个不会专注于问题研究的人，从而影响考生的分数。这里需要考生以专业相关为基础简述自己所做的一个研究或参加的一个竞赛，表示自己在本科期间就对报考专业或相关知识有所了解，如果有例子佐证更容易获得面试老师青睐。

正例：

   I participated in the… competition in the junior year with the theme of… and won the… award. This project is currently being piloted in… and other places. During the preparation process, the team and I deeply studied ... theory, which was very helpful for my later studies. For example, ... theory provided us with a very strict logical framework. During the competition, I worked closely with the team, and the honor won with knowledge and hard work belongs to all of our team.

  （我在大三以…为主题参加了…竞赛，并获得了…奖项，这个项目目前已经在…等地试点。在准备过程中，我和团队深刻研究了…理论，这对我之后的学习非常有帮助，比如…理论就给我们提供了非常严谨的逻辑框架。在参赛的过程中我与团队紧密配合，用知识、努力赢来的荣誉属于我们团队所有人。）

有些同学在大学期间没有参加过竞赛或活动，那么可以参考一下这段话：

   I took the postgraduate exam this year, and made great efforts to come to my ideal college. When I was reviewing in the library, I saw so many young people who worked hard for their dreams like me. Whenever I wanted to give up or take a break, they always gave me the motivation to move .

  （今年我参加了研究生考试，为来到我理想院校付出了深刻的努力。当我在图书馆复习时，我看到许许多多和我一样为梦想不懈奋斗的年轻人，每当我想要放弃或休息一下时，他们总能给予我继续前进的动力。我看到过熄灯才离开图书馆的同学、看到过冷到手发红也坚持做题的同学、还看到过一天喝三包咖啡的同学。他们改变了我，使我变成了一个坚持梦想、不轻言放弃的人。我想，能在今年和这么多努力奋斗的人一起参加一场特别的考试，是我印象最深刻的事情。）

三、What do you do in your spare time?（你在空闲时间会做什么？）

面试老师问这个问题一般是想考察考生如何利用自己的空闲时间。虽然我们提倡实话实说，但在这个问题上不建议考生将实情和盘托出。虽然面试老师和考生都知道平时大家大概都是什么情况，但知道和自己承认的差别还是存在的。

反例：

   In my spare time, I watch TV, Weibo and tremolo. Occasionally playing with dog, cooking for parents, cleaning rooms. I'm free to have a meal with my friends, watch a movie, and take time to review the professional lessons.

  （我在空闲时间会看电视，刷微博，刷抖音。偶尔遛狗，给爸妈做饭，心血来潮也会大扫除。闲的没事跟朋友约饭看电影，抽空复习一下专业课。）

其实大部分考生打发空闲时间的方式是一样的，但在这样一个场合向上述回答一样形容自己，显然不是明智的选择。应在不过分自夸的情况下，展示考生的性格和爱好，

正例：

   For example, from this holiday, in order to practice my speaking, I will read and recite two English articles every morning. As you can see, this has achieved some results. I also read professional books, such as our classic books like ... I think this book is very helpful for the current study of … theories. I insist on exercising every day, such as running, skipping, etc. I also developed a good habit of writing a diary and remembering to reflect on the day before bedtime, which I think is very beneficial for my growth and planning.

  （拿这个假期来说，为了锻炼口语，我每天早上都会跟读并朗诵两篇英文文章，如您所见，这取得了一些成果。我还会读专业书，比如我们本专业的经典读物…，我认为这本书对于目前…理论的研究非常有帮助。我坚持每天锻炼身体，诸如跑步、跳绳等。我还养成了写日记并在睡前回忆反思一天的好习惯，我认为这对我成长发展和规划计划非常有利。）

四、What would you like to be doing after

graduation?（研究生毕业后你会做什么？）

面试老师问到这一问题，主要是想考察考生选择考研的原因，以及如果录取考生，考生大概能做什么方向的工作。与上题“为什么选择我校”有一定的相似之处。在回答这个问题时，考生要在实事求是的基础上认真作答，但不要太过于和盘托出。

反例：

   I plan to go home and look for work. My parents helped me arrange a company. I need a postgraduate degree to start a job. After the graduate graduates, I will go directly to work and then get married and have children.

  （我打算回家找工作。父母帮我安排了一个公司，入职需要研究生学历，等研究生毕业后我就直接入职，然后结婚生子。）

面试老师不会因为考生特别诚实而对他进行录取，反而会觉得考生读取研究生的目的不纯，不适合做研究型人才。在回答时应稍加修饰，展现虚心求学的态度。

正例：

   I will go on with my study for doctorate degree. After graduating received doctorate degree, I wanted to teach in university, and continue research in it, I hope I can have some achievement in my major.

一．常用句式

（1）表达本科所学专业和方向。

如果你所学专业下没有细分方向，则只说本科所学专业就可以了：

My undergraduate major is (本科所学专业名称), and I specialized in (本科所学专业方向).

也可以说The subject I learnt in my university is (本科所学专业名称).

如果你现在是上班族，可以用以下句式简要表述目前从事的工作：

I’m now working for (目前就职公司的全名)as a/an (你目前的职位).

如果你现在是在校学生，即将拿到学位，在研究生阶段继续学习本专业，可以说：

I’m about to complete my undergraduate study at (你就读院校的全名) and to receive myBachelor’s Degree in (即将获得的本科学位名称). I wish to continue my study in this area.

（2）表述籍贯

若你的家乡是省会城市: I’m from (城市),capital city of (省份).

若你的家乡不是省会城市，是某个省的大城市: I’m from (城市), a major city in (省份).

若你的家乡是个美丽的小城镇: I’m from (城市), a beautiful city in (省份). It’s quite famous for its (你家乡的特色美景等).——如果没有很出名的特色，可以不讲。

（3）表述自己的经历

若你曾在某公司实习过：I have an internship at (实习的公司名称).

表述选择这个学校或专业的原因：The reason for my choice is that….

研究生复试面试环节英语自我介绍一般包括开场白、姓名、毕业院校、毕业专业、为什么读研、将来从事的方向、读研时的打算、结束语等等。1.开场白2. 个人基本信息。3.你对所报考的专业的兴趣。(可以举例子比如经常看相关的书籍，论文，文章和新闻等。)在职考试可以强调知识教育对工作的影响；4.结束语。(一定要有的很多同学忽略了)比如：That’s all about me. Thank you for your attention.

开场白

开场白比较简单，一般就是一个简单的问候和寒暄，其中要特别注意要与面试老师打招呼。作自我介绍时，可以不用千篇一律…let me introduce myself briefly / please allow me to introduce myself to you等句子，重复、啰嗦。开头可以只用一句话引入：Dear professors, I feel so glad to meet all of you here. 或 Good morning，dear distinguished teachers! I am very glad to be here for this interview.然后就可以进入主题，介绍姓名、年龄等等。

个人信息

关于姓名，毕业院校，所学专业部分不是自我介绍的重点，同学们在讲这部分的时间基本就是面试老师们浏览个人简历的时间，这部分按部就班介绍就可以了。① 姓名。介绍自己姓名时，发音一定要准(南方考生要多加注意)。② 年龄。年龄可以跟在姓名后带过(I am XXX, 25 years old)。③ 原来的院校、专业。注意：一定要把原来学校的英文名称、专业的英文名称弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨专业的学生)。 所属的公司、职位。注意：在职考生则应将自己公司、自己职位/职称的英文名称弄明白。④ 性格、能力。可以着重强调你的个性对你报考的专业有何积极的作用。如果报考的是学术性的专业，可以说自己条理分明(logical),踏实(steady).细心(detail-oriented)  等;如果是研究性、应用性更强一点的专业，可以说自己负责(responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。其他的一些表示性格、能力的形容词有：active, aggressive(有进取心的), adaptable, amicable(友好的), analytical(善于分析的), cooperative, creative, disciplined, dutiful, energetic, faithful, gentle, independent(有主见的), innovative, motivated, modest, objective, precise, punctual, precise(一丝不苟的), temperate等等。在职考生或有过工作经验的考生还可以强调一下你的工作成绩，如：As the assistant to the General Manger of XXX Company, I have helped to negotiate a $200,000 deal for the corporation.⑤爱好。All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. 除了强调你的学习的重视，同时也要避免给考官一种“书呆子”的感觉。一般可以从体育、音乐、电影等方面来说，同时要简单说明这些爱好对你的积极意义(build my body, relax myself, open my mind…);注意避免提到那些可能引起考官反感的爱好，如：playing computer games，watching TV等。参考表达：I am Li Ming. My English name is Jacky Lee. You can call me that if you’d like to. I am majored in Electronic Science and Technology, I will graduate from Xidian University in this coming July.

报考原因

可以谈谈你对报考的专业有兴趣(be interested in/be fascinated with/be obsessed with…)，可适当举出一些例子，如经常看相关的书籍、论文、文章、新闻等。在职考生可以强调知识教育对工作的影响：In my work, I find it necessary to broaden my horizons in communication. That’s why I long for entering your prestigious university.考研原因几乎是每个导师都会关心的问题，因此最好把这个问题就放在自我介绍里面说了。这部分的内容我们务必要让考官感到我们选择这个专业是经过深思熟虑的，是一个理性的选择而不是一时冲动。通常我们可以从以下三个方面来回答。

a、兴趣，即强调对所报考的专业怀有极大的兴趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就读的专业与报考的专业一致，则可以说明想继续深造(further education)的愿望。如果不一致，则要说明报考专业对你的吸引力(…appeals to/attracts me a lot)。
b、优势，即强调研究生相对于本科生在知识、学术方面的优势，如：知识面更广(wider knowledge)，学术更专业(more professional)，眼界更广阔等(broaden one’s horizon)。
c、益处，即强调考研对你的未来的积极影响(have a positive effect on…)，可以从求职、职业规划、人生经历等方面入手进行说明。可参考的词汇、短语如下：be helpful, contribute to, be beneficial to, be conductive to, be a definite advantage, become a strong point when it comes to… 等等。
对于那些在职考生或有工作经验的考生来说，考官乐于知道他们为什么(放弃工作而)重新学习。考生可以直言在工作发现某些知识或技能很重要，希望能通过学习在这些方面进行提高。

例: In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school and improve myself.

未来规划

可以在自我介绍中展现自己对未来的规划，其目的在于向老师们展示自己对时间、学习、人生有一定计划性和掌控能力。
参考回答：I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my graduate time. And I hope I can form a systematic view of ... and make a solid foundation for future profession after three years study here. After graduation. I would like to work as a .... I hope that in five years after graduation, I can....

结束语

请务必表达出对来目标院校就读的强烈意愿。并给出一个明确的结束的信号。
例如：I would be very honored if you could grant me the opportunity to study in this university. That’s all about my self introduction. Thank you!结束时可以用说：That’s all about me. / Well, that’s who I am. Thanks for your attention.注意：不要死记硬背，要整理一篇适合自己的，即使在紧张忘词的情况下也能自圆其说！
