glorify v.

To glorify something means to praise it or make it seem good or special, usually when it is not. 美化

trivialize v.

If you say that someone trivializes something important, you disapprove of them because they make it seem less important, serious, and complex than it is. 贬低; 简化表不满 e.g. We glorify war, we trivialize sacrifice, and we use rhetoric to send young men to their deaths 5.

umpteen adj.

Umpteen can be used to refer to an extremely large number of things or people. 无数的 e.g. Francis Yoshihiro has been proved wrong on umpteen occasions.

the action or offence of giving a false or misleading account of the nature of something. 歪曲;误传 The proposition strawman represents a severe misunderstanding of the motion and a confounding misrepresentation of the nature of service 8. comfortable adj.

e.g. 90 years ago this motion passed by a comfortable margin. 9.

furore
