谓语在英汉语中作为句子的主干成分，翻译时也相对复杂。

2.1 谓语与宾语转换

这里包括英语的宾语转译成汉语的谓语，英语的谓语转译成汉语的宾语。

1. Physical changes do not result in formation of new substances, nor do they involve

a change in composition.

物理变化不生成新的物质，也不改变物质的成分。

2. The following provides a brief account of how the human body is built.

下文简要说明人体是如何构成的。

3. In the early dawn, the guard towers were silhouetted against the sky.

黎明时，天空映出了瞭望塔的轮廓。（英语谓语译成汉语宾语）

4. The mountain was clearly defined against the sky.

山巅被天空衬托得轮廓格外分明。（同上）

5. Her experiences were damagingly printed in the details of a feature.

她的经历被以专栏的形式做了特别详细的报道。
