In the business class, the professor introduces two efficient ways companies can adopt to diversify their products to increase sales. (~20w, 10-15s)

The first is using existing technology to develop new products. A company may have the resources to make other similar products, with which the company can attract new customers. For example, a television company may have the same technology and machines necessary for making computer monitors. Using the monitors, the company can reach new customers, like businesses that buy monitors for their employees' computers. (~60w, 25s)

A company can also sell new products to its existing customer base. A ski company already has a large customer base who love winter sports, these customers may have other needs to fulfill such as winter jackets. So the company can diversify and increase sales by making warm ski jackets and the existing customers will be more likely to buy them from the same company. (~60w, 25s)
