Harbor Seal Weaner vs Elephant Seal Bull

A young harbor seal (a recent "weaner" just a couple months old?) encounters an immature elephant seal many times its size and several years older. The sparring is all fun and games until the elephant seal decides to use the harbor seal as a pillow. That's a juvenile elephant seal bull.  If he were full sized that little harbor seal wouldn't have had the choice of being wooed..  I thought the elephant seal to be uncharacteristically gentlemanly..  In that he laid his head humbly for a few gestures before pinning his loved one with his neck.

If he'd been fully mature and had amourous desires on that little creature he would have bounded in on his belly and squashed it to mush!

Instead he moved it to his middle and then wound his tail flutes to one side, bent his body into a figure C and got into the copulation position (which does not involve putting his huge weight onto his concubine)..

If the little guy had stayed until he'd served him with his huge penis, in all probability the massive male would have realized that there was no way he was going to fit and then lost his lobido and gone to sleep.   I've observed this with larger weeners and they enevitably escape when the guy goes to sleep.   The worst thing you can do if you're pulled into an elephant seal, 'cliinch' is to attempt to run away before he's had his wicked way.   Otherwise you run the risk of frustrating him in which case you get a massive body splash in an attempt to assert his domination...  So advice to tourists...  If you get pinned under his flipper, just lay still until he goes asleep and then crawl away on your belly (slowly!!)  LOL
