第二十五节 现在分词或动名词加名词

现在分词通常与它所修饰名词在逻辑上具有主谓关系。动名词通常表示它所修饰名词

表示的属性、特征或状态等，二者在逻辑上并无主谓关系。

25.1 现在分词加名词

1. Don't wake a sleeping dog. 别多事；别惹麻烦。

2. Her pulses beat fast, and the coursing blood warmed and relaxed every inch of her

body.

她的心跳加快，沸腾的热血温暖了身体的每一个部位，使她感到身心完全地放松了。

3. a bowl of steaming soup. 一碗冒着热气的汤。

4. When one of the men paused for a moment in his work to rest, or to wipe the

running sweat from his eyes.

这时其中一个男人停下工作休息一会儿，或为了擦掉流经眼睛的汗水。

2. grade n 等级；年级；成绩

3. grain n 谷物；谷类；纹理；质感

Go against the grain. 不合自己的性情或意愿。

4. grape n 葡萄；葡萄树；深紫色

That's a little sour grapes for me. 吃不到葡萄说葡萄酸。

5. grasp n 把握；领会

a. The knower's grasp of subjective thought. 认知者对主观思想的把握。

b. It is not within your grasp. 不在掌控之中。

c. have a good grasp of words. 对词汇有很好的掌握。

d. have a better grasp of. 较好的掌握。
