1️⃣震惊

a flash of surprise：一丝惊讶

• l sensed a flash of surprise in his eyes.
• 我感觉到他眼里的一丝惊讶。

freeze with shock：震惊呆了

• Hearing the bad news, Mary froze with shock, as if rooted on the ground.
• 听到这个坏消息，玛丽僵住了,仿佛扎根在地上一般。

faint away and fall into unconsciousness：震晕了

sb feel empty and let down：某人感觉空虚又失望

• l feel like all my insides have been drained out and l feel empty and let down.
• 我感觉我的内在都被榨干了，空虚又失望。

3️⃣尴尬

pretend to not have heard or seen：假装没听到也没看到

• l just came across my headmaster who farted in theelevator. It's quite embarrassing that l could only pretend to not have heard or seen.
