For this Milan Design Week, Fornace Brioni, a 1920 Mantua-based family company has launched two collections designed by Cristina Celestino, the new art director of the brand. Full of classical references, these 100% natural graphic interpretation is a lovely tribute to the updated terracotta history.

‘Giardino all’Italiana’ is a geometric floor and wall tiles collection that mimics aerial garden landscapes, including row of trees and sculpted bushes. Apple green, baby pink and natural terracotta colors, the subtle bas reliefs are exclusively shaped by hand, alternating both with matte and shiny surfaces.

古老的建筑立面、大理石和木地板，“Gonzaga”系列记录了意大利浪漫的所有真实性。受十五世纪典型绘画的启发，动态的浮雕图案升华了当地的陶器和不规则的手工作品。

Old facades, marble and wood floors from historic mansions, ‘Gonzaga’ collection transcribes all the authenticity of Italian romance. Inspired by designs typically found in fifteenth-century paintings, dynamic relief patterns definitely sublimate local earthenware and irregularities of handmade work.
