16—Please introduce me one of your weaknesses.
题库问题;基本的面试准备程度;
自我反思、提升与思考的能力;
了解被试者基本的性格特征;
1. 讲缺点,而不是不可挽回的硬伤;
2. 不要虚伪,说自己太负责任之类的,是缺点就要真实地论述其带来过的负面影响;
3. 重点放在自己对于这一缺点的反思上;
I think one of my weaknesses is paying too much attention to unnecessary details without a view of the whole picture.
My past experience of working in XXX company made me aware of the weaknesses. While the whole team was assigned with a task with a tight dead line, I spent too much time polishing the wording of my own part without assisting the other. As a result, the project was ended with a terrible presentation and negative feedbacks from the top.
On the one hand, I think that paying attention to details and emphasizing work quality are of great significant, especially for juniors. However, learning to balance efficiency and quality is also vital, particularly to workplace life. I think that the way to overcome the problem is to classify different work before I put my hand on them. For some urgent tasks, I should first make sure that the work is delivered as required before making polishment, particularly when I am working in a team.
Sample: Being inrovert (内向)
I am an introvert by nature, not very good at expressing my own opinions in front of others.
From high school and into my early professional interactions, it prevented me from speaking up. Last year in a business competition, three teams had to debate with each other. Our team worked hard on preparation, and we cherished the opportunity to stand on the stage. But one of our teammates acted too anxiously and fell into others’ pitfalls. I realized the logic problem, but I was too afraid to stand out and to interrupt them. We finally lost the competition.
I realized that it is vital to deliver a logical and clear statement in front of the public, and this was my biggest challenge at the moment. So I took the course English Speaking the next semester, and also joined the English debate club. I keep asking myself to speak in front of others, and not be afraid to make mistakes. At the end of that semester, I was able to stand on the stage, proud and confidently, expressing my own opinions. What’s more, I got recognition from a teacher who was once one of the members of the judge jury for the competition I lost before. Her appreciation really made me sure about my growth and self-improvement.
