《驯龙高手》中无牙仔的设定介绍

夜煞作为这部电影中龙族的代表，以其神出鬼没的习性，和它迅速而强大的龙息攻击，被维京人视为最危险的龙族。虽然就种族而言无牙可能比较可怕，但是他其实是一个十分聪明，感情丰富的生物。
“它的龙息是一道易爆的离子团，而且精确度很高——你能听到它飞过来，然后看到一道蓝光和冲击波光环。这道冲击性的轰击能点燃目标并炸出一团蓝白色的闪光。”视觉特效总监Craig Ring解释说，这一设定让无牙和希卡普的友谊成了禁忌。
电影中无牙的形象被设计得比其他龙更加简洁，流畅和隐蔽。“我们本来想把他设计成狼一样的，但是后来我们发现换成大猫效果会好得多。”导演Dean Debois回忆说。

The main dragon character in the film is the night fury, a species regarded by the Vikings as the most dangerous due to its reclusive nature and surprising, powerful fire skills. While Toothless may be formidable by virtue of his species, he proves to be an intelligent,emotional creature that just happens to have agile articllery.
'His firepower consists of plasma bolt of explosives that are fired with great accuracy ——you hear it coming and then see a blue bolt and shockwave ring. It is a percussive blow which can set things on fire and explode them in a blue-and-white flash of light,' explains Visual Effects Supervisor Craig Ring. This makes Hiccup's relationship with the dragon all the more forbidden.
Toothless is designed to be a cleaner, sleeker , stealthier dragon than the others in the film, 'We had previously thought of him as wolflike , but then we discovered another big cat worked even better,' recalls Director Dean Debois.
'His color was inspired by a black panther screensaver on one of our story artist's monitors. That image was striking and electrifying, with those eyes staring out of the darkest black face,' explains Director Chris Sanders. This desire to give the nightfury a pure black skin presented unique challenges for the artistic team due to the diffculty in portraying pure black color under a variety of lighting conditions.'We tested specularity and reflectivity to show detail that would read well in everything from crisp moonlight to foggy or smoky scenes. We tried applying s velvetlike texture and iridescence ,and we were finally satisfied with a skin that is more like that of a shark or tringray than repitilian,' recalls Head of Surfacing Sabrina Riegel .
The audienece's acceptance of Toothless as a main character requires a vast shift of perception : He must go from being reguarded as an unknown ,dangerous threat to a magical , charming creature order for the story to work.' We wanted to make sure his intelligence and emotional personality came through without anthropomorphizing him,'says Executive Producer Kristine Belson . To facilitate his connection to the audience ,Toothless exhibits behaviors that a dog , cat or horse might use when interacting with humans, with the hopes that the viewers will 'be touched by their recognition of this bond,' according to Head of Character Animition Simon Otto.
