Sign No More 劝姑娘


Sigh no more, ladies, sigh no more, 

Men were deceivers ever; 

One foot in sea, and one on shore, 

To one thing constant never. 

Then sigh not so, 

But let them go, 

And be you blith and bonny, 

Converting all your sounds of woe 

Into Hey nonny, nonny. 

好姑娘,别伤心,

男人都这臭德行:

吃着碗里瞅着锅,

为他难过值不得。

见异思迁由他去,

朝三暮四随他作,

芳花丽草自有骨,

离了浊物一样活。

Sing no more ditties, sing no mo 

Of dumps so dull and heavy; 

The fraud of men was ever so, 

Since summer first was leavy. 

Then sigh not so,
