躲在水中和岩石下的数码兽，一动不动停留在原地，不怎么活跃地来回动。有攻击接近者的习性，但这绝对不是好战，只要不靠近就不会受到攻击。一旦温度超过30℃就会异常繁殖，所以到了夏天，经常能看到刺针兽会密密麻麻地互相挤满在湖泊和岩石等地，常常来喝水的数码兽会受到攻击。牺牲身体的「最终刺针兽」正如其名，是跟敌人一起爆炸，刺针兽的最终必杀技。

攻击招式:

Final Chikurimon（最终刺针兽）：引爆自身攻击对手。
