Learning verbs in the same way as a native speaker~

Hold: maintain something or somebody in some state

hold a cup; hold his nose; hold her; hold him; hold the door; hold on a minute; hold a party(party: a group of people)

Make: from 0 to 1

make friends with him(0 ->2); make a fortune; make a donation

PS: “verb is a verb, noun is a process”

  eg.  I reserved a table for 6.

        I've made a reservation.

PS: preference for noun in English

    eg. He made a road trip.

         He made a confident entrance.

Give: some other person give you and you receive.

Tony gave me a great haircut.; Stelle gave me a great massage.; She gave me an angry look.; My boss gave me a pay cut/raise.; 

PS: it is important to use the ability of reasoning to express and comprehend English.

    eg. Books gave me a headache.; You gave me goosebumps.; You almost gave me a heart attack.
