Langsam und schimmernd fiel ein Regen,
Slowly and gleaming fell the shower,
雨点闪烁着微光 缓缓地落下 / 淅淅沥沥雨落纷纷 闪耀着无名的微光
In den die Abendsonne schien;
Through which the evening sun shone;
于黄昏夕阳散发的光辉中 / 默默地洒下余晖
Der Wanderer schritt auf engen Wegen
The traveller walked down narrow paths...
旅者沿着小道缓缓而行 / 旅者沿着小道 踽踽而独行
Mit düstrer Seele drunter hin.
...with a sombre soul.
心情阴沉 / 阴沉抑郁笼罩于心
Er sah die großen Tropfen blinken
He saw the great drops glint
旅者望见 豆大的雨滴落下 闪烁着光芒 / 他见到 雨点闪耀着光辉
Im Fallen durch den goldnen Strahl;
...as they fell through the golden ray;
穿梭在那金黄璀璨的辉光之间 / 徜徉在璀璨金色的辉光中
Er fühlt' es kühl aufs Haupt ihm sinken
He felt them splash cool on his head,
旅者感到 冰凉的雨滴打在额前 / 他感受到额头上 雨点落下凉意
Und sprach mit schauernd süßer Qual:
And spoke quiveringly in sweet torment:
颤抖着描述着甘霖般的苦涩 / 于是带着甘甜的苦涩 颤抖着说
Nun weiß ich, daß ein Regenbogen
"I know now that a rainbow
“现在我知道了 所谓彩虹
Sich hoch um meine Stirne zieht,
...rises high around my brow,
那在头上高高架起的桥梁
Den auf dem Pfad, den ich gezogen,
And on the path that I had taken...
在那条我曾走过的小径上
Die heitre Ferne spielen sieht.
People in the distance smile and watch it play
能在远处微笑着看它嬉戏
Und die mir hier am nächsten stehen,
And those who stand here closest to me
而 与我至亲至近的人
Und wer mich scharf zu kennen meint,
And those who reckon to know me best —
而 自诩对我所知甚深的人
Sie können selber doch nicht sehen,
Not even they can see...
却无法看到
Wie er versöhnend ob mir scheint.
...how redeemingly it shines above me.
那彩虹犹如救赎照耀我身
So wird, wenn andre Tage kommen,
So it shall be in days to come
而当另一天到来之时
Die sonnig auf dies Heute sehn,
That will look back sunnily on this today:
回望今日的灿烂之际
Ob meinem fernen, bleichen Namen
Above my distant pale name...
在我遥远地 褪色的名字上
Der Ehre Regenbogen stehn.
...a rainbow of honor shall stand.’
荣誉的彩虹将在其上散下辉光”
