二、原文
It was Sunday. I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime. Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside. 'What a day!' I thought. 'It's raining again.' Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy. 'I've just arrived by train,' she said. 'I'm coming to see you.' 'But I'm still having breakfast,' I said. 'What are you doing?' she asked. 'I'm having breakfast,' I repeated. 'Dear me,' she said. 'Do you always get up so late? It's one o'clock!'
三、课文和语法
1. It was Sunday.
① it 指代时间
It’s ten o’clock in the morning.
② it表示天气
It’s sunny today.
③ it表示距离
It’s 3 kilometers to the store.
④ it 确认人的身份
It’s Tim on the phone
⑤ 作形式主语,带着不定式或者主语从句等
It is difficult to learn swimming.
It is a pity that he can’t come tomorrow.
⑥ 形式宾语,代替不定式或宾语从句等
I think it a pity that you didn’t catch the train.
He thought it easy to get the tickets.
2. I never get up early on Sundays.
① never 频率副词
always/usually/often/frequently/sometimes/seldom/rarely/never
Helen rarely goes to the movies.
频率副词通常放在系动词、助动词后,实义动词前,但是有例外。sometimes 放在句首、句尾和中间都可以。
② on Sundays 每周日
on + 某天 on Monday
描述具体的日子用on
on Monday afternoon.
on that day
on Sept. 10
on that day
Sundays 复数表示经常性的行为
I don’t go to work on Fridays.
3. I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime
① sometimes 频率副词
② stay in bed 卧床(用介词in)
bed表示卧床,睡觉时,前面无冠词
go to bed
He was sick in bed 他卧病在床
③ until lunchtime until 直到…
1) 可单独使用,在肯定句和连续性状态的动词连用表示动作持续到某时
Wait until 2:00 in the afternoon
2) not … until… 直到… 才…
在否定句中和短暂性动作的动词连用,表示直到… 才…
He didn’t come until midnight.
4. Last Sunday, I got up very late.
last 表示过去的时间,用一般过去时
表示有明确的过去时间,句子一般用一般过去时
比较:on Sunday
有如下限定词:last, this, next 修饰的星期,前面不用on
5. I looked out of the window
look out of … 朝…外看
look out of the door
look out 小心,注意
Look out when you go across the street.
①look into sth 调查、检查
The police are looking into the cause of the accident.
② look forward to sth 盼望、期待
We are looking forward to seeing you again.

6. It was dark outside.
dark 描述天气暗
It gets dark early in winter.
近义词: dark, black, dense, bold, tan, dim
dark: 漆黑无光或没有任何照明,还可指前途暗淡、心情沉重
black: 强调颜色是黑色,与white形成对比
dense /dens/ 密集的,稠密的,密度大的: 指液体、蒸汽等不易透视的或指人物密集的
dense smoke 浓烟
bold /bəʊld/: 指人大胆的、勇敢的、同时指轮廓清楚的、醒目的及文字印刷中的黑体
tan /tæn/棕褐色的,棕黄色的: 指黄褐色的、皮肤黑的颜色
dim /dɪm/ 暗淡的,昏暗的: 光线不足导致模糊不清,难以辨认
7. What a day!
感叹句, 多么糟糕的一天
What 引导的感叹句,括号内的是可有可没有的。
① What+ a/an + adj.+ 单数名词+ (主语+ 谓语)!
It’s a terrible day.
What a terrible day (it is)!
② What + adj.+ 复数名词/不可数名词 + (主语+ 谓语)!
They are hard-working young man
What hard-working young man (they are)!
We are enjoying delicious bread.
What delicious bread (we are enjoying)!
③ How + adj./adv. + (主语+谓语)!
The movie is amazing
How amazing (the movie is) !
He works hard.

8. Just then, the telephone rang.

it 中性代词,指物、事、人

10. I’ve just arrived by train.
just 往往跟现在完成时搭配
by train 坐火车
by + 交通工具
by bus/train/air/car
on foot 步行
Will’s car broke down and he had to return home on foot.
11. I’m coming to see you.
现在进行时表示将来发生的事情,这类动词往往是瞬间发生的动作
瞬间发生的动作用于现在进行时表示按计划、安排将来要发生的动作或状态,如come, go, leave, arrive.
He’s leaving tomorrow.
12. I’m still having breakfast. 零冠词
吃三餐前是没有冠词的。
have breakfast/lunch/dinner
13. Dear me! 天哪
= My goodness! = Oh, my god!
感叹词有很多,名师精讲笔记中第二册第二课有提到,这里不记录了。
14. 语法1- be doing vs do/does
①现在进行时(NCE1 L31-L36) be doing
1)含义:一个动作正在发生,或者近期的计划安排。
2)结构:
肯定句
am/is/are+ doing(动词的现在分词)
否定:
am/is/are + not + doing(动词的现在分词)
一般疑问句:
Am/Is/Are + 主语+ doing(动词的现在分词)
特殊疑问句:
特殊疑问句+am/is/are+主语+ doing?
I am meeting a friend tonight. 表计划
3) 现在进行时表现阶段,当下并不一定正在发生
He is driving very fast these days.
He doesn’t usually drive very fast.
②一般现在时do/does(NCE1 L47-L60)
1)含义:习惯动作/客观事实
2)结构
肯定句: 主语+ 动词(根据人称进行变形)+…
He goes to the theatre every weekend.
否定句:主语+ don’t/doesn’t + 动词原形+…
He doesn’t go to the theatre every weekend.
一般疑问句: Do/Does + 主语+ 动词原形+…
Does he go to the theatre every weekend?
特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+ Do/Does + 主语+ 动词原形+ …?
What does he do every weekend?
