猎豹只吃野味准备放归

Ashia 保护小组最近将两只雌性猎豹从 1,500 公里处从帕尔的 Ashia 中心转移到了南非林波波地区的预发布合作伙伴 Purple Rain。

The Ashia Conservation Team recently translocated two female cheetah 1,500km from Ashia’s Center in Paarl to Purple Rain, a pre-release partner in the Limpopo region of South Africa.

猎豹最初来自 De Wildt 的 Ann van Dyk Cheetah 中心，过去 8 个月一直在 Ashia 为它们的搬迁和最终释放做准备。 他们只吃野味，并引入禁食日，增强了他们的力量和体能。

The cheetah, originally from Ann van Dyk Cheetah Center, De Wildt, have spent the last 8 months at Ashia in preparation for their relocation and eventual release. They have been fed a diet of only game meat with introduced fasting days, and have increased their strength and fitness.

These two large females will now spend some time within a fenced section of Purple Rain, where they can catch prey and hone their hunting skills. We are pleased to say that the experienced monitoring team on the reserve have already observed the cheetahs first two kills – less than two weeks after arrival! A very positive start.We look forward to sharing their full journey later in the year, with their final release.
