在彩虹写作技巧教学法里,不同的颜色可是代表着不同的意思
红色的字代表exciting powerful的动词,如:charging, dashing, jogged
紫色的字代表描述性词汇,如:frantically, beautiful
橙色的字代表power openers,如-ly结尾的词(suddenly, slowly, angrily), 时间的连接词(Later that day, Meanwhile) ,表示地点的词(In the distance, Under the rocks, Beyond the mountains)
蓝色的字代表承接词,如 when if, on the other hand, although, because, despite, as well as, contrary to
绿色的字代表短语和从句,如The young girl, with the cunning smile, was...
那小朋友如何在写作里运用到彩虹写作技巧呢?我们来看一个例子:The boy ran to the shop.
第一步,加入红色的动词
The boy sprinted to the shop.
第二步:加入紫色的描述性词汇:
The hungry boy sprinted to the shop.
第三步:加一个橙色的有力的开头
All of a sudden, the hungry boy sprinted to the shop.
第四步:加一些蓝色的承接
All of a sudden, the hungry boy sprinted to the shop because he had found some money.
第五步:加上绿色短语或从句
All of a sudden, the hungry boy sprinted to the shop, which had recently reopened, because he had found some money.
是不是这句话立马变得不一样了?这个句式的扩展练习同样也可以用在段落的写作里,譬如这段:The boy went into the room. He was looking for a noise. He heard it in the cupboard. He went to look. He opened the door. It was his dog.

Silently, the young boy entered the dusty room. Thomas, who had recently just turned fourteen, was searching frantically for a strange noise. He felt apprehensive as it seemed to be coming from the old, battered cupboard. Reaching slowly for the handle, he took a deep breath and slowly opened the creaking door. There, in a pile of old clothes, was his loveable companion Lucy. Thomas was about to scoop up his dog when he saw another strange object lying behind her.
