第四集：悲喜童年

Episode four: His Childhood

One of Confucius' favorite resorts when he was young was the ancestral temple, where he witnessed numerous ceremonies and, having been inspired by the magnificent spectacle at the solemn rituals, he loved the sacrificial events so dearly that back home he would play games with kids in the neighborhood to imitate the sacrificial ceremonies, bowing, kneeling, praying and pouring libations. The mother was so glad to see her son's decorous behavior that she kept encouraging him to learn

Confucius loved learning and began to learn systemically at the age of 15. Poor as he was, he was lucky to be able to have access to plenty of ancient documents and classics with which he increased his knowledge with each passing day.

But Heaven didn’t seem to have mercy on the widow and her son. When Confucius was only 17, his dear mother came to the end of her life, leaving her only teenage son to face a world full of uncertainty.

Mother's death did not prevent young Confucius from learning. And one thing that occurred between Yang Hu and him pushed him to study even harder.

小时候，孔子最常去的地方就是宗庙，在那里他亲眼目睹了诸多的祭祀场面。庄严肃穆的祭祀礼节，让小孔子感慨万分。回到家中，他便和周围的孩子们一起模仿，鞠躬、下跪、祈祷、祭酒。儿子有模有样的模仿，颜征在看在眼里，喜在心里，并一直给予鼓励。

小孔子酷爱学习， 15岁开始便接受了系统的教育。虽然家境贫寒，但他有幸接触到大量的古代文献典籍，他的学识与日俱增。

上天的眷恋似乎并没有降临到这对孤儿寡母身上。孔子17岁时，颜征在就已经走到了生命的尽头，留下孤苦伶仃的孔子独自面对迷茫的未来。

母亲的去世并没有阻止孔子学习。阳虎和孔子之间发生的一件事更坚定了他学习的信心。
