岳飞，字鹏举，南宋抗金名将，著名军事家（strategist），文学家，诗人，中国历史上著名的民族英雄。岳飞自幼酷爱军书，立志为国捐躯，拜师学习骑马射箭，刻苦的精神让他技艺精湛。在国家危亡之秋，岳母在他的后背上刻下“尽忠报国”，励子从戎，成为中华民族母教的经典。岳飞的军队纪律严明、战力强大，人们常说“撼山易，撼岳家军难。”岳飞在北伐（north expedition）壮志未酬时写下的《满江红》至今传颂万家，荡气回肠，振奋一代又一代报效国家。1142年，岳飞卒于秦桧的迫害，后人追授其谥号武穆、忠武。时至今日，岳飞庙前人们依然络绎不绝，表达着对这位骁勇而高尚的大将军的崇敬。

Yue Fei, who styled himself as Pengju, is one of the best-known generals of the South Song Dynasty, also a renowned strategist, literati, and poet, also one most-known national hero of Chinese history. Since he was a child, Yue had been a great fan of books on war strategies and aspired to devote his whole life for his country. He learned horse-riding and archery from a master. With his dedication and diligence, Yue became mastered at all the skills. At the verge of his country’s survival and death, Yue’s mother carved on his back “Jin Zhong Bao Guo” (which means: Fight for your country heart and soul), motivating Yue Fei to join the army. Her great deeds became classic in the history of Chinese maternal education. Yue led an army with strict discipline and of undefeatable strength. It is often said that “It is easier to move a mountain than the Yue’s Army.” On his north expedition, with unfulfilled ambitions, Yue wrote down the Red all over the River, a poet with great spirits and known to the mass general still today, which has inspired generations to fight for their countries. In 1142, Yue Fei was murdered by Qin Hui. He was given posthumous names Wumu, Zhongwu. Still today, you can see swarming crowds at the Yue Fei Temple paying their tribute to the brave and noble great general.
