I, Pencil

“地球上没有人能知道如何造就我”，难以想象这个“我”竟然只是一支简单得不能再简单的铅笔。作者通篇以铅笔的角度来阐述并证明这一事实，他认为铅笔是种种奇迹的结合，其生产过程包括了一系列复杂的社会生产经济活动，需要数以万计的人以及不同技能，其中任何环节都是缺一不可，这些东西表面上看貌似互不相关，竟然通过一只铅笔的生产连接到了一起。
