Beijing is getting serious about a centrally backed digital currency, one that its central bank, the People's Bank of China, has been rolling out on a test basis in several major Chinese cities. What does this ultimately mean for the rest of the world, which still settles most international payments with the U.S. Dollar? The experts said, trading partners in Asia are already starting to prefer the digital yuan in cross- border payments with Chinese companies because of its convenience and a simpler onboarding process compared to more traditional financial products. 

中国政府对推进数字货币研发越来越重视，中国人民银行已经在主要城市开展了数字人民币试点。数字人民币的存在，对仍然用美元进行大多数国际支付的世界其他地区最终意味着什么？有专家发现，亚洲贸易伙伴已经越来越倾向于在与中国企业的跨境支付中使用数字货币，因为它很方便，而且其适应过程与传统的金融产品相比也更简单。
