第七章

亮爪打了个大哈欠，拖着脚走出灌木丛。她已经和一只狐狸在灌木丛中生活了大约三天了。是的，就是那种恶心的狐狸味。就因为它会说话？

“我们什么时候才能住在那个‘多云的地方’？”她慢慢地喵道。

“嗯……我想我们需要潜入水族去请另一个学徒。”月咕哝道。

狡猾的学徒绑匪！有一心跳的时间，亮爪想和狐狸搏斗，然后回家。但是，一个甚至没有受过良好训练的医药猫学徒怎么能与狐狸搏斗呢？

“好吧，我们现在就走吗？”

“当然。”月甩了甩他那条红色蓬松的大尾巴，朝森林走去。亮爪除了跟着他，别无选择。

“那么，我们为什么要抓到一个水族学徒，又该如何抓到呢？”喵着亮爪。

“你那愚蠢的星族让我带你和雨爪把雨带回来。”月似乎不相信星族。

把雨带回来！这是一项伟大的任务。干旱已经影响族群几个月了。幸运的是，没有一个夜族战士死于干旱。但蝰蛇尾告诉她，日族长老迅雷大约在半月前去世。

“我一有机会就跳出来。”月指着雨爪和微光溪。

这很危险。微光溪是水族的副族长，她可以做任何事来保护她的学徒！亮爪呆在灌木丛里，有点希望贝壳爪和天歌就在附近，这样四只猫就可以杀死一只狐狸，至少可以赶走它。

“为了喂饱自己？”微光溪不给一鼠尾，“我永远不会把我的学徒交给狐狸！”

微光溪在和月搏斗时会受伤吗？我得马上叫停！亮爪从灌木丛中走了出来。“对不起，微光溪，我知道会说话的狐狸很奇怪，也不容易说服你，但他有星族的事先许可。”

“你是夜族的吗？你为什么在这里？”雨爪喵着。“你是亮崽吗？鸽爪告诉我蓝牙有两只母幼崽，一只黑色，另一只白色。”

Chapter 8

Brighpaw let out a big yawn and shuffled out the bushes. She have already been living in those bushes with a fox for about three sunrises. Yeah, just that yucky fox-scent. Just because it could talk?

"When will we ever arive that 'cloudy place'?"she mewed slowly.

"emm……I guess we need to sneak into WaterClan to fetch another apprentice." purred Moon.

Fox-hearted apprentice kidnapper! For a heartbeat, Brightpaw wanted to fight the fox and go home. But how could an medicine cat apprentice, not even well-trained, battle with a fox?

"Fine, will we leave now?"

"Of course." Moon shifted his big red fluffy tail and headed into the forest. Brightpaw had nothing to do but follow him.

"So, why and how are we going to catch a WaterClan apprentice?"mewed Brightpaw.

"Your dumb StarClan told me to take you and Rainpaw to bring rain back." Moon seemed to have no belief in StarClan.

Bring rain back! That's a great task. The drought have been affecting the clans for a few moons. Luckily, none of the NightClan warriors died from the drought yet. But Addertail told her that Swiftthunder, a SunClan elder, died about half a moon ago.

"I'll leap out as soon as soon as I get the chance."Moon purred as he pointed at Rainpaw and Shimmerstream.

That's risky. Shimmerstream is WaterClan's deputy, and she could do anything to protect her apprentice! Brightpaw stayed in the bushes, a bit hoping that Shellpaw and Skysong are nearby, so that four cats could kill a fox, at least banish it.

Moon leaped out of the bushes, straring at Shimmerstream, willing to fight. Shimmerstream prepared an attack while telling Rainpaw to take more warriors for help.

"No need."Moon walked closer."I do no harm, I'm just going to take Rainpaw for a few sunrises."

"To feed yourself?"Shimmerstream didn't give a mousetail,"I will never give my apprentice to a fox!"

Shimmerstream will hurt herself trying to fight with Moon? I need to stop it, now! Brightpaw walked out of the bushes."Sorry, Shimmerstream, I know a speaking fox is strange and not convincive, but he has premission from StarClan."

"Are you from NightClan? Why are you here?" Rainpaw mewed."Are you Brightkit? Dovepaw told me that Bluefang had two she-kits, a black one and the other white."

"Er, I'm Brightpaw, you know, new medicine cat from NightClan. That's some StarClan business. That fox named Moon told me we will bring the rain back."

"Fine. Be sure she comes back in a quater moon, or I'll claw your ears off! I can't fight off a fox but I could easily kill an apprentice!"

"Brightpaw, are we going to be okay? Is this really StarClan stuff, or is it just a kidnap?" Rainpaw asked anxiously.

"Dunno, that fox must have something to do with StarClan. Hope it doesn't harm us."

"So, how did you get here? Moon didn't kidnap you like that, right? You are a medicine cat apprentice, learning herbs in the camp."

"He didn't kidnap me. My sister, Darkkit, ran out of camp because she didn't make an apprentice. I followed, then I ran into the fox and it took me away."

"Can we ever get home after we've bring rain?"

"I don't even know if we could get to that 'cloudy place'."Brightpaw lifted her head to look at the clouds."

Moon turned to awnser them."Of course we can reach there. I'll tell you the full name of that place when we arrive."

"Great! That's the most interesting quest ever! Shellpaw and Rabbitpaw will be soooo jealous when I save the Clans!"

"But I only want to go back home, reunite with my family and friends! Why did StarClan want me to go? "
