1.Wearable Electronics. In article number 2201890, Samayanan Selvam, Young-Kwon Park, and Jin-Heong Yim demonstrate ionic liquid electrolyte and sweat based dual electrolyte functioning supercapacitors capable of self-charging ability. Typical planar structure electrodes are fabricated from tris(2-aminoethyl)amine, poly-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, and a graphene oxide mixture with copper-mediated chelate. The supercapacitors are fabricated and attached directly to textile fabrics as well as flexible/stretchable film to apply their performance on the conformable human body during exercise with excellent energy harvest/storage performance and biocompatibility.

2.Janus Nanoprecipitation. In article number 2202594, Yuan Yu, Per Eklund, Weishu Liu, and co-workers uncover Bi-/Ge-rich Janus nanoprecipitates in Mg3Sb1.5Bi0.5 compounds by electron microscopy and atom probe tomography. This Janus nanoprecipitate enables an amorphous-like lattice thermal conductivity and provides a new perspective for tailoring nanostructures for improving thermoelectric properties.

The hexagonally close-packed (HCP) nanostructure of organogels should experience lattice deformations during mechanochromic process. Using their in situ electro-optical observations and theoretical modeling, electrically stretchable and also stable mechanochromic lattice tuning mechanism is reported for the first time.

The highly scaled memory cells approach the extreme scaling limits of phase change materials technology, achieving ultralow power consumption, high programming speeds, outstanding low/high resistance ratios, and nice stability/endurance at a few-nanometer bit dimensions. In addition, the demonstration of D flip-flop working under 2.5 MHz represents a great advance for phase-change random access memory to perform logic operations in low power consumption and opens up an avenue for in-memory computing in future.
