1️⃣说
一、小声说：whisper，murmur
- lf you were here, l would whisper in your ear, telling you how much I love you.
- 如果你在这，我会在你的耳边轻言细语,告诉你我是多么的爱你。
- l pat him on the back and sing for him in a whisper.
- 我拍他的背部然后低声唱歌给他。
- The old man drooped his head and began to murmur to himself my father's name. Suddenly he looked up.

二、正常说：utter，explain，respond
- Paul and l are unlikely to match Louis's time without a strong following wind, and I doubt we will utter the word"victory ”.
- 如果没有狂风相助，保罗和我根本无法与路易斯匹敌。我也对能否说“胜利”心存孤疑。
- Mrs. Green did not respond or even smile, but only gestured that the microphone be passed to a woman nearby.

三、吼着说：cry，shout, howl
- She cried the news all over the neighborhood.
- 她在街区附近大声疾呼着消息。
- l was very angry. I opened my window and shouted at the other driver.
- 我超生气，我打开窗户冲着另一个司机大喊。
- "I hate you all!" she howled/ howled the princess.
直接引语的标点符号怎么用？
- 引语内容用单引号/双引号包裹起来，首字母大写
- 'He's very clever，you know."
2. 不同的讲话者另起一行，且引语结尾加标点符号，例如逗号，句号，问号，感叹号。但都在引号之内
- "Will you marry me?" he askd.
- "Yes, I will." she cried.
3. 如果讲话者出现在引语之前，需用逗号隔开
- Steve replied, 'No problem.'
4. 如果引语中断（即未讲完，不用句号)，讲话者结尾可加逗号或句号继续
- “You're right,” he said. “It feels strange.”
- ‘I'm wondering,' she said, “if he could win.”
2️⃣看
一、偷偷看：catch a glimpse / glance of sth./sb.
- We all gather in front of the television, praying to catch a glance / glimpse of his face.
- 我们都聚在电视机前，祈祷着能够看到他的脸，哪怕是惊鸿一瞥。
二、正常看：notice，spot
- Seeing no other people notice us, l placed theChristmas present down and pounded his doorbell.
- 看到没人注意我们，我就把圣诞礼物放下，然后按了他的门铃。
- She had spotted a man pacing down the hall.
- 她之前看到一个男的在走廊里踱步。
三、盯着看：gaze, stare
- Singing happily, she gazed at her surroundings with large, innocent eyes.
- 欢快地唱着歌，她又大又无辜的眼睛盯着四周。
- The woman was staring eagerly at the girl, trying to make a conversation.
- 这位女士正迫切地盯着那女孩，想要和她聊聊天。

一、remind sb of sth
- These events constantly remind me of my father's absence.
- 这些事情不断地让我想起我父亲的缺席。
二、picture：v. 勾勒画面
- l immediately picture / imagine him walking through the door, wearing a shining smile.
- 我立马脑中浮现出他穿过门走来，脸上洋溢着灿烂的笑
三、From that one experience sb. learned that ......：从那次经历中，某人学到了..
- From that one experience l learned that the most important thing in life isn't the money you make.
- 从那一次的经历当中，我学到了人生中最重要的东西不是金钱。
