英语常见弱读词汇

一、弱读时，中间的元音一般变为中央元音/ə/

1、介词：at, for, from, of, to;

2、冠词：an, some;

3、连词：and, but;

4、代词：you, us, them,her;

5、助动词：am, are, have, has, do, does, would, can, could, should.

二、一些词 /i:/ 变为 /ɪ/ ：

比如：he, me, she

三、【可以】弱读 ≠【必须】弱读，以下情况一般不弱读：

1、句末。例：May I do it for you?

2、对比。例：government of the people, by the people, for the people.

3、重音表示强调。I'm not A rabbit! I'm THE rabbit. (/ə/是a /eɪ/的弱读，/ðə/是the /ði:/ 的弱读）。
