Half the time a prescxtion looks illegible, it's because the doctor is actually writing in a special shorthand created for medication.
大夫开的处方你经常看不懂，这是因为大夫实际上是在写一种为开药方特地创造出来的特别的缩写。
For instance, "1qam po 2qhs wf x7" meaning "Take one tablet by mouth every morning and take two tablets by mouth at bedtime, with food, for 7 days."
举个例子，"1qam po 2qhs wf x7"的意思是“每天上午口服一片，睡前口服两片，饭后服用，吃7天”。

"Q" means "every", AM is for morning, and "PO" means by mouth. "HS" is for "hour of sleep", so "qhs" would mean every night at bedtime.

Latin. The "am" is the same as in AM/PM, ante meridiem (before noon), "hs" is hora somni (hour of sleep). "po" is per os (by mouth).

They’re distinct until they’re connected, then it’s a bit of an issue when n’s and m’s п, and т’s are concerned. For come reason the T is written like a lower case M and then the m is spikey at the top and looks like 2 л’s.
