How's your dissertation going? I'm proofreading my first draft. And I'll submit to my professor tomorrow. I haven't even started writing mine yet. The final draft is due in 5 months. Of course I've started it, but I can't get to the writing, as I haven't found enough resourses to use. So I'm still working on the topic.Maybe the problem is the way you doing research. Based on that I found books on library. And a lot of reputable journals articles on Internet. I started it by talking to my professor about where to look for information. I tried all that. As my department's minimum length was 70 pages. I think the problem is my topic isn't viable. And my professor did warn me at the beginning. That I might not be able to find enough material. But I was so interested in the topic that I didn't let his advise deter me.

If you commit to your current topic, may be you could make some adjustiments rather than abanding it completely.

That's pretty narrow. You could find more material if you make your topic broader. Maybe ny includeing other kinds of depiction.
