一、记忆方法

1.通过词根词缀使单词产生联想。

visit：vis- 看，-it走。

hesitation：hes-粘、黏。

photosynthesis：photo-光，-syn合，-the放置，-sis名词后缀。

2.通过中文谐音。

curse：诅咒。（克死）

ponderous：笨重的

eulogy：/'juːlədʒɪ/ 颂词，赞词，悼词。

Tradition dictates the current present delivers the eulogy.

按照惯例，现任总统将致念悼词。

coffin：/ˈkɔfin/ 棺材。

They bore the coffin into the church.他们把棺材抬进教堂。

av-鸟，put-思考，anim-生命，animation动画片。progress进步：pro-，gress-走。com-全部共同所有。

二、单词

1.单词拆解：前缀，词根，词缀。

magnanimous：/mæg'nænɪməs/ 心胸宽广的

He is a leader who is magnanimous in victory.他是个在胜利时宽宏大度的领袖。

magn-大。（magnify 放大）

unanimous：/juː'nænɪməs/ 一致的。

He was elected by a unanimous vote.他以全票中选。
