embroil

embroil是一个动词，意思是“使卷入（纠纷）；使陷入（困境）”。

一个记忆方法是把它拆分为em+broil，想象一下你和你的兄弟（bro）在烤肉（broil）的时候发生了争吵，从而卷入了一场纠纷。

embroil和involve都有“使卷入”的意思，但是embroil通常指卷入一些争吵或困境，而involve则更广泛，可以指卷入任何事情。例如：
