这个版本比起FC版友好很多……最重要的是道具最多可以带99个，这一点大大降低了游戏的难度。

Prologue 序章

A long-lived peace......is at an end.

长久以来的和平……走向了终结。

The emperor of Palamacia has called forth monsters from the underworld...and has begun his campaign for world conquest.

自从帕拉美奇亚帝国的皇帝从地底世界召唤魔物……并开始他征服世界的计划之后。

A rebel army arose in the Kingdom of Fynn to thwart the emperor's plans.

一支反抗军在菲因王国建立起来以阻止皇帝的计划。

But the rebel's castle fell to an all-out assault by the empire.

但是反抗军的城堡在帝国的一次全力突击之下沦陷了。

Left with little choice,the rebels withdrew to the remote town of Altair.

别无选择，反抗军撤退到了偏远的亚鲁迪阿镇。

Four youths from Fynn also found themselves fleeing the imperial forces.

四个菲因王国的年轻人也认识到他们必须从帝国军的手中逃脱。

They had lost their parents at the hands of the empire.

他们的父母已经丧命在帝国军的手中。

But their escape wasn't over...

但是他们的逃亡仍未结束……

WILD ROSE (野玫瑰篇)

Hilda:Will he live?

姬蕾妲：他还好吗？

Minwu:He will.I sense a strong life force within him.He should regain consciousness soon.

敏武：他还活着。我感觉到在他的体内有很强的生命力。他应该很快就会恢复意识了。

Hilda:We found them like this on the escape of Fynn,fallen from terrible wounds.By the time we brought them here,I feared it was already too late.

姬蕾妲：我们在从菲因逃亡出来的路上发现了受了重伤的他（们）。当我们把他（们）带到这里来的时候，我还担心这对他们来说已经太迟了。

Minwu:His life is not in danger.This sigil will strengthen his life force.We should let him rest now.

敏武：他的生命已经脱离危险。这个符咒会增强他的生命活力。我们现在应当让他休息。

Hilda:Of course.

姬蕾妲：当然。

Hilda:We'd best be off to the meeting.I imagine they're already waiting for us.If the empire is allowed to complete the Dreadnought they're building in Bafsk...their attack will begin in earnest.We cannot sit idly by and watch,we must act.

(Minwu see Firion without any words.)

姬蕾妲：我们现在最好快点去参加会议。我想其他人一定早就在等待我们了。如果让（帕拉美奇亚）帝国完成了他们在巴夫斯克建造的大战舰……他们最近很快就会发动攻击。我们不能只是呆坐在这里等待和观望，必须采取行动。

（Firion awake）Firion:Where am I?Leonheart!Maria!Guy!Where are you?(Seeing Maria and Guy)

Maria:Firion!You're alive!I-I thought...I thought you'd...

Guy:Princess of Fynn save us.But...Leonheart not here.

Firion:I see...Don't worry,I'm sure he's okay.

[Rebel Hideout] [反抗军秘密据点]

Hilda:So you regained your strength!Very good.Your life force is strong indeed.

姬蕾妲：这么说你重获了健康！很好。你的生命力确实很顽强。

Firion:It was you who saved us,wasn't it?Thank you.Forgive me,your Highness,but there is something I must ask of you.Please allow us to join the rebel army!

菲里奥：救了我们的人是您不是吗？谢谢您。恕我冒昧，殿下，但我有一事相求。请允许我们加入反抗军吧！

Hilda:I could never allow such a thing.You know nothing of battle,you would only be throwing your lives away.You should return to your homes.

姬蕾妲：我决不会同意这样的请求。你们对战斗一无所知，（如果让你们加入）你们只会白白地丢掉性命。你们应当回去找你们的家人。

Maria:But...we have no homes.Not any more...The imperial's attacked,and our patents...our parents...

Hilda:I am truly sorry,but even so,it changes nothing.I can not permit you to join our army.If you've no where else to go,You're welcome to stay here in Altair.If you know our password,you should be able to live here well enough.The password is Wild Rose.Remember it well.

姬蕾妲：我为引起你们的伤心事而郑重地道歉。但是即使这样，也改变不了任何事。我现在不能允许你们加入反抗军。如果你们无处可去的话，就暂且在亚鲁迪阿镇住下来吧。如果你知道我们的暗号，你将会在这儿生活的足够舒适。暗号是“野玫瑰”，要牢记在心。

（Ask"Wild Rose"）询问“野玫瑰”

Hilda:The Wild Rose is the insignia of the Kingdom of Fynn,It represents our hope for a future that nourishes in both strength and beauty.But what will become of Fynn now?I've heard that empire's captives have been taken there and suffer even as we speak.(To Maria)Maria,your brother Leonheart is missing,isn't he?It's possible that he's being held in Fynn as well.But Fynn is for too dangerous now.The emperor's beasts still stalk the streets.Gaining entrance to the city will not be easy...The man of my right is Minwu,the White Wizard who tented your wounds.Speak with him before you leave.He may be of some assistance.

姬蕾妲：野玫瑰是菲因的纹章，它象征着我们对一个充满力与美的光明的未来的希望。然而现在菲因变成了什么样子呢？我听说帝国的战俘们都已经被押送到了那里，并且承受着我们所无法想象的痛苦。（对玛丽亚）玛丽亚，你哥哥雷恩哈特也失踪了，不是吗？他很可能也被抓到了菲因城。但是菲因城现在十分危险。皇帝的爪牙充斥着街道。想找到城市的入口并不容易……我右边的是治疗你们伤势的白魔导师敏武，在你们走之前和他谈谈，他会给你们一些建议的。

（Speak with Minwu）Minwu:I see your destiny clearly.The Future it hold seems closely entwined with my own.You'll begin by journeying to Fynn,that is the First step toward realizing your fate.

（与敏武交谈）敏武：我清晰地看到了你的命运。它的未来似乎与我的紧密交织。你们将要展开前往菲因的旅程了，这是了解你们命运的第一步。

(Ask "Wild Rose") 询问“野玫瑰”

Minwu:Heh,heh.You have wasted no time using the password.Heed well the information it will bring you.You can learn much of value by listening.I offer you one more bit of advice before you depart for Fynn.Those who have fallen in battle can be revived at a sanctuary.Should one of you fall before you reach Fynn,go without hesitation to the nearest sanctuary.

敏武：呵呵，你不能把时间浪费在使用暗号上了。好好地听它将会带给你的讯息。你会学到多听更有价值。在你们前往菲因之前，我给你们更多一点的建议。在战斗中陨落的人可以在神殿中复活。无论你们之中的谁在到达菲因之前死亡，你们都要毫不犹豫地去离你们最近的神殿。

(Speak with Paul) 与波尔交谈

Paul:I'm Paul,greatest thief in all the world!They've yet to invent the loot I can't burgle or steal.The impertial coffers have kept my purse fat with gil lately!

波尔：我是世上最伟大的神偷波尔！现在这世上没有什么东西是我弄不到的。最近帝国的金库总是让我的钱包充满了金币！

(Ask "Wild Rose") 询问“野玫瑰”

Paul:I never steal from the rebels.You can be sure of that.My home was in Fynn,too...I can't even go home now that the empire has occupied the city.

波尔：我从不向反抗军下手，你要记住这一点。我的家也在菲因……自从帝国攻陷了菲因城，我也无法回家了。

(Speak with Gordon) 与哥顿交谈

Gordon:My name is Gordon.I was once a prince of Kashuan...Now I'm nothing but a coward.When my brother,Scott,fell in battle,I abandoned my kingdom and fled here.

哥顿：我叫哥顿，曾是卡修恩王国的王子，但现在我只是一个懦夫，除此之外什么也不是。当我的哥哥斯科特在战斗中牺牲后，我抛弃了我的王国，逃到了这里。

(Ask "Wild Rose") 询问“野玫瑰”

Gordon:So,you're asked to take up army in struggle?I'm afraid Hilda will turn me away that I haven't even ask her.I've been stalling here.I'm just a spineless coward.Go ahead,laugh.I deserve it.

哥顿：这么说，你们想让我在这场斗争中助你们一臂之力？我担心姬蕾妲会因为我甚至没有告诉她（我到了这里）而把我赶出去。现在我不过苟且偷生罢了。随你们笑话吧，我拒绝帮助你们。

(Speak with Tobel) 与托布鲁交谈

Tobel:What could you want with me?I'm just an old man...

(Ask "Wild Rose") 询问“野玫瑰”

Tobel:The geezer act is just a cover.My name is Tobul,and I am the best darn blacksmith in the rebel army!

托布鲁：这个糟老头子的外表仅仅是伪装而已。老夫名为托布鲁，是反抗军里最优秀的武器匠！

（Speak with King of Fynn）与菲因王交谈

King of Fynn:An arrow struck me in the back during the battle.Leaving me in this state.Perhaps I really have grown old.My daughter,Hilda,now serves as regent.You should speak with her.

菲因王：一支箭在战斗中伤到了朕的背后，让朕变成了现在这种糟糕的情况。或许朕真的老了。朕的女儿姬蕾妲现在摄政，你们应当去和她谈谈。

Outside,Fynn 菲因城外

Firion:It's just we've heard.The city is crawing with imperial soldiers.We have to be careful,Make sure not to get too close.

菲里奥：情况正如我们所听说的。城市里充满了帝国士兵。我们必须多加小心，确保与这些帝国士兵的距离。

(Sanctuary)As you pray,a warm light suddenly envelops you and a voice over flowing with compassion rings in your ears,"Wandering soul,return now from that distant lend where sorrow and darekess hold away."

(Speak with Bartender)Bartender:Whoa,where do you think you're going?Customers aren't allowed behind the counter!These imperials are as ill-bred as they come.

(Ask "Wild Rose")Bartender:Aha!You're with the rebels!You'll find a secret door in this wall.There's a wounded soldier back there.Go see if you can help him.Hnn?What am I going to do?I've had it with this peace.You guys can take it from here.Don't let us down!

(With the Bartender's leave,a secret door appears)

（与酒保交谈）酒保：哈，你们以为你们去的是哪里？顾客不允许进入吧台后面！这些帝国的人还是像他们刚来的时候那样粗野。

（使用暗号“野玫瑰”）酒保：啊哈！你们是反抗军的人！你们可以在这面墙上找到一扇秘密的门。有一个受重伤的士兵被藏在这里，如果你们可以帮助他的话就去看看吧。我？我想干什么？我只是告诉你们这个消息。你们这些家伙从这里进去吧，别让我们失望！

（随着酒保的离开，一道暗门出现了）

Fynn Passage 菲因酒馆密道

（Speak with the wounded soldier）Soldier:Are you...going to turn me over to the empire?At least have the decency to kill me first.I don't want...them to take me alive.

（与重伤的士兵交谈）士兵：你们……是要把我卖给帝国吗？至少先杀了我让我光荣些吧。我不指望……那些家伙会放我一条生路。

(Ask "Wild Rose")Soldier:So...you're the rebel soldiers...are you?My name is Scott,I am a prince of Kashuan.

Firion:Prince Scott?We were told you fall in the battle.Thank goodness you're still alive.

Scott:I am,but not...not for much longer...I'm afraid I must ask...a favor of you.There's something you must...must tell my brother,Gordon.Tell him I know he has...great strenth.He must learn to have more faith in...in himself.I also have a massage for the king.Tell him the reason Fynn...Fynn fell so quickly is that...Count Borghen betrayed us.He's been made a...a general in the Imperial Army.There is one more thing.Tell Hilda...Tell Hilda that I love her.No,no,don't deliver that...last message.The confessions of a dying man...They would only bring her pain.

Maria:My...my brother,Leonheart,Have you heard of him?

Scott:I'm sorry,...but I have not.I wish I could be of more help.Here.I want you to...to take my ring.I'm sure it will be of use.Maybe it's call this talking,But I...I have grown extremely tired.If you'll excuse me,I...I just need to rest.Just for a little while...(died)

Scott leave the world.You obtain ring.

(使用暗号“野玫瑰”)士兵：这么说……你们是反抗军的士兵……是吗？我名为斯科特，是卡修恩王国的王子。

菲里奥：斯科特王子？我们被告知你已经牺牲了啊。感谢上天，你还活着！

斯科特：很遗憾……我没有听说此类消息。我还希望我能为你们提供更多的帮助。我希望你们……戴上我的戒指，我想它会有些用处的。或许我可以告诉你们更多……但是我……我已经十分疲惫了。如果你们不介意的话，我……我仅仅是需要休息一下，只是一小会儿……（死亡）

(Using the ring to Hilda)Hilda:That ring belonged to Scott!Is he...Is he alive?

Firion:He gave us this ring in Fynn...just before he lost the last of his strength.

Hilda:Did he...Did he say anything?

Firion:No...nothing,Your Highness...Please(hand over the ring to Hilda).The ring belongs with you.

Hilda:No,keep it.It suits men of courage.You infiltrated Fynn and return to tell the tale,You've proven yourselfs quite capable.It would seem I understimated your strength.I would have you lend that strength to our cause.There is a magical metal known as Mythril,and we need strong warriors if we are obtain it.

（对姬蕾妲使用戒指）姬蕾妲：这戒指曾属于斯科特！他……他还活着吗？

菲里奥：他在自己最后的力量丧失之前……在菲因将这枚戒指赠与我们。

姬蕾妲：他……他还说了什么别的（关于我的）事吗？

菲里奥：没……没有什么。殿下，请收好（把戒指呈给姬蕾妲）这枚戒指应当属于您。

姬蕾妲：不，你们收下它吧。它与勇者相配。你们成功的潜入了菲因城并回来报告了自身经历。你们充分地证明了你们自身的实力。看起来我轻视了你们的力量，现在我希望你们能以你们的力量助我们的理想一臂之力。有种知名的魔法金属“秘银”，我们需要一些勇士去获得它们。
