But, alas, all that’s left is a weather-beaten, devastated one.
So sad, so ugly.
What a startling departure from the beauty!
Social distortion marches on like the aging process, in my dream, outside my dream.
Look at my face, how does it compare to the grotesque rock at the foot of the Blue Ridge?

穿越，炸雷、电光。

高尔基笔下的海燕，
一样的惊恐万状。

In June when I passed you by, new leaves spread out like a million emerald discs.
In July when I came back, the leaves had sprouted into endless swaying umbrellas, tall and slender.
In August I visited you again, only to find myself caught up in a fierce storm.
You tossed about in the rain-charged wind that ferociously blew off your pinkish petals and sent them flying all over the place.
Raindrops fell thick and fast, forming a glistening curtain. Ripples overlapped ripples.
Birds hide quietly under the protection of eaves and branches, burying their heads under their necks, and pausing their merry songs.
A pair of Mandarin ducks nestled in a bend of the bank, helpless but not hopeless.
For far above the sky clouds were thinning out ad breaking apart, leaking through a ray of sunshine.

长袍舞动，疯狂！
女巫，还是魔幻的大师？
山河崩裂，清流成画。
去吧，
游荡在美妙小径，
踏芳草，听悠悠泉声。
任凭瀑布飞溅，水花打在脸上。
吞咽那甘露滴滴，
走吧！
开始我的溪山行旅。
但愿，
那不是深渊的万里长征。
Once upon a time, the mountains here trembled and tumbled,
and the rivers ran rampant like unbridled horses.
Today massive mountains rise heavily and top off wide and flat.
Vertical cliffs cut deep into the valleys roaring with rapids. Serpentine roads skirt precariously the edge of rocks. The cascades plunge like rushing torrents or trickle down gently like balmy springs to caress your face and feet.
Welcome to the majestic Taihang Mountains.
Let’s explore the heart of the Middle Kingdom.
