15 Lesson 3 - Perfect Color and Light, Each Time Part 4 - Color - Light D P15 - 00:01颜色灯光如何用到自己的作品里.

so now I love to show you a demo on how to implement what you just learned into your own piece.演示一下如何用现学到的知识做演示。 Obviously, I just shoved a lot of information in your face and we really only have like 10 minutes or so left. 显然开头给你灌输一大堆的知识点，现在剩余10分钟时间，So I don't want to overload your brain by teaching you how to paint it from scratch. 不打算给你灌输一堆如何从草稿画起来，但是剩下课程大篇幅教会你画画，但是目前你已经有点绘画基础了对吗。I promise you the rest of these courses will teach you exactly that, but you'll probably do some painting already. Right?这是一种方式，如何把画颜色变成你想要的颜色。 So this is a method on how to change the color of your current pieces to whatever color that you want.这是必不可少的技能，也是制片行业标准，适用于概念绘制和颜色脚本绘制。 This is an essential skill and is the industry standard for concept painting, but also especially for color scripting, where for especially animated movies are just need to be able to turn out colored pieces like just like that snap snap snap.尤其是动画，颜色需要一步步的改变到位。 So as a base you typically want your piece to be something with very neutral lighting. 有时候你期待自己作品沐浴在中性光中。So something that isn't already to colored heavy that way you can easily adjust the color to whatever you want.所以你期待颜色不厚重的，可以把颜色改到你想要的样子。 It's a lot simpler than the adjusting the color of like saying that you already drew like a neon pink piece. 如果你已经绘制霓虹色，比中性光难改写。If you're trying to change the color neon pink piece, that would be a little bit difficult. But chances are that you probably have a piece somewhere in there that doesn't have a lot of colors a little bit more neutral. 

P15 - 01:26举例子演示。 

So I went to my kitchen and I did a little set up and I took a cute little photo of my favorite plushie a cinnamon roll with a little tea cup. For those who don't know, it's sort of a role is the name of this plush it right here and he is a character by the same company that did hello kitty. He is my absolute of thing favorite sanrio character. And no, this is not sponsored. I just really love sanrio, although sanrio, if you can sponsor me, please hit me up. 这是做“你好，kitty猫”同一家公司sanrio的角色，毛绒玩具，我只是单纯的喜欢该角色，并没有得到公司赞助，如果有赞助，我不会拒绝。But anyways I'm just trying to explain that. If I addressed this piece as cinema role, then you know that it's referring to the flashy. 我现在变成动画角色，长话短说，我们开始吧。Without further ado, let's jump in and get started.  

P15 - 02:03学习要点。 

So I basically just doing a it mindless study to prove to you. 潜意识下意识不假思索的习惯念一遍。Number one, that I did not pull this study out of thinner, but because this is a color tutorial, i'll spare you the specifics and just show you a fun time lapse of the painting. 因为这是颜色课程，我不强调绘画过程，先一笔带过。And with that, your base painting is ready for it to get colorfied. 绘制到直接上色的程度。So your art director looks at this piece. He looks at you and he says, great, thank you. Thank you so much for the painting. but actually I wanted this to be a sunset piece like this.艺术总监看着绘画说，这幅画很棒，但是我们需要绘制成夕阳落山的模式。 And you kind of just look at him or her. And you kind of go like, okay, well, sounds good. I will get you a sunset piece. No problem, cause otherwise you'll get fired.  

P15 - 02:51夕阳西下绘制方式。 

So you look at the sunset piece and you say, all right, let's first ask yourself what color overall is this piece. And hopefully you say orange or yellow. 首先问问主色调定为什么？希望你答案是橘色或黄色。And essentially all we really need to do is just make a orange or yellow filter over our original piece.我们需要做的一句话概括是给原始作品加上橘黄色过滤。 This is why I said to start and a board neutral kind of lighting. 这就是为什么我们说从中性灯光开始的。So that because if you add a filter to something that's white, then it will easily change into another color. 因为如果你在白色滤镜上加入滤镜，很容易变成另一种颜色。What I'm gonna do now is simply expand my canvas a little bit so that I can fit my reference photo right next to me. 往左侧拓宽下画布，这样可以把参考图放在左侧。that way, The entire time that I'm painting, i'll be able to look back on it back and forth and back and forth. 这样我可以来来回回依据参考图进行调整。 

P15 - 03:35右侧的图层。 

On the right of the screen. You'll see that I have the entire piece broken down into their respective parts, 你可以看到图片被分成不同图层，but I combine them all into one big group. So this is my piece, essentially the entire painting.但是我打成了一个组。 I'm gonna take my eyes drop a tool, and I'm just going to go into the photo and just pick one of the colors that I like.我打开取色器眼睛，吸取我想要的颜色。 So the orange obviously the most bright and distinctive colour. 选择多层图层。And I'm gonna take a multiply layer. Very important. And I'm going to just use the paint bucket and drop it onto my piece just like that.再用油漆桶工具把选取的颜色拖动到我的作品上。 And immediately it is completely washed with orange.这样我的作品立刻沐浴在橘黄色里。 

P15 - 04:14需要指出的难点是。 

In fact, if it's a little bit difficult for you to kind of tell what color the thing is, 如果你感觉颜色还是难以分辨清楚，what you can do is you can actually take a little snippet of the original photo, 就选取原始图片的样片，just like a little chunk and then move it over to your piece to compare and contrast the colors,这样进行参照对比， so that you can adjust it to your own liking. 可以调节到你自己喜欢的程度。 

P15 - 04:36多重层。 

However, you'll notice that whenever you use the multiply layer and things become too dark too quickly. 你发现用多层问题，图片变暗变得很快。So what you're actually going to want to do is lighten up the entire piece. 所以你需要做的是增亮整个作品。You're gonna go all the way to your levels adjustments layer on your bottom, right? 选择底部的图层调整。And you're gonna click levels. And then you're going to adjust right on that slider right there. And by moving it to the right. You will increase the brightness of all the dark in your piece.右下角图标选择水平，对话框滑动滑块，把图片黑处变成亮色。 And you can play around with the slider as much as you'd like. But basically we want to make it a little bit pale, so that we can add extra colour to it. 我们调节灰白点，这样可以加入其它颜色。And as always, you want to make sure that you keep your layers on a clipping mask.确保搜又图层在一个蒙版上。 Very important. The clipping mask ensures that whatever changes you do will only apply to the layer that you clip it to, that way. We don't affect anything else, like the background or the reference image.右键效果仅仅用于选中的图层，这样不会影响背景 参考图等图层。 

P15 - 05:36加入想要的色彩。 

Now that I have a wonderfully hail image, I can happily go back to my multiply layer. 这样我获得冷冰冰的灰白图层，可以到多重图层。and adjust to whatever amount or degree of color that I want necessary. 调节到我想要的数量和程度。But you can see that now it fully colors the entire image quite well, as opposed to before where some of the colors that really multiply that well. 现在颜色润色好很多了。So now we're going to duplicate the entire base image. You can see that I made you duplicate, And then I added again the levels layer adjustment to make it pale. And now I'm going to add the shadow color, 现在我们复制整个图片，再次调节图层，变白色，加入阴影颜色。 

P15 - 06:22原因是。 

because you'll see that the photo on the left has two values. It has like the super bright part has a super dark part. 你可以看到两种颜色白色和黑色。And now I'm simply adding the super dark part. This is directly I dropped from my original photograph.比如我单纯的加入超黑色部分，这是我直接从原始图片中吸取来的。 I even grabbed a sample again, just to show you, and as well as for my own sake, just as a point of comparison.再选取对比色，为了我个人探索进行对比。 But this will be essentially what my shadow values are going to be. 这就是我阴影阈值应该有的样子。Because the original image of just a yellow multiply layer was way too bright.因为原始黄色多层图层太亮了。 So I'm gonna go ahead and group these up to make my layers little bit more organized. And I'm gonna organize it into shadows and lights. 我重新打组成明暗两个组。 

P15 - 07:01明暗两个图层的设置。 

Next I'm going to go into my shadow layer, which is on Top of my lights slayer.接下来到阴影图层，也就是亮图层的上面。 I'm going to apply this cool thing called a clipping mask. 都应用剪切蒙版。Now the clipping mask basically allows me, if I draw in black, then I hide the entire piece. 如果绘制黑色，我藏在整个作品下面。And if I draw in white, then I show what's underneath.如果绘制白色，就展示图层下面的。 The best way to really describe this would be for you to try it out yourself. 最好的方式就是自己动手尝试。And don't worry if you feel like I'm going a little bit too fast. We're gonna go over all of this one more time and later courses, But I just want to prove a point that for color, you don't need to paint it directly from scratch. 你没必要从白纸开始绘制，而是用现有的照片开始改写。You can adjust something that you already have. And the way that you adjust it can be up to you. But this is simply the way that I do it. 至于如何调整取决于你的目标，但是这是我用的节约成本的方式。So now that I have my shadows on this clipping mask, all I'm gonna do is go in and repaint my shadows. 现在我阴影图层剪切板的基础上重新修改。It's slightly tedious, but it is so much easier and so much faster than having to repaint the entire painting from scratch. 看似枯燥，但是快速便捷。 

P15 - 08:02选择什么样照片做基础？ 

So if you look at this photograph right here, there's a really shiny spot where the sun is hitting the window and creating this really cool like being like a blinking light like something sports Berkeley. So I want to be able to apply that to my own painting. I'm going to be using the overlay layer and just gently painting in some of the bright white lights. This will give my painting a sunkissed feel, 参考图被阳光照射的窗户上刺眼的斑驳点，拿来复制在自己作品里，具体在碗边缘有亮白色点，像是被阳光亲吻的感觉。like some candy or something like that. And before you know it, your piece is done. And just like that was not so easy. Now we have a cinnamon roll with a teacup in a perfect sunset setting,谈笑之间作品做好了，夕阳下的小角色。 with very minimal work on your part of having to touch anything up. You didn't have to repaint anything. You just kind of filter to your piece and also painted on Top of it. Work smarter, not harder. 你没有重新绘制，你只是在此基础上改写，聪明的工作，而不是事半功倍。As long as you have your original painting in your natural lighting, you can pretty much change it to any color that you want.中性的绘图，可以改写成任何你想要的颜色。 

P15 - 09:17比如改写月夜下的图片。 

So on that note, your art director comes back and they tell you, hey, I'm sorry to bother you. But actually we're going to be changing into a night time scene, kind of like this one.And you look at your art director and you say, WOW, thanks for the heads up. Wow! Like I can't believe I would do this again. But this is your job. This is what you're supposed to do. And it's gonna be alright, cause you know a super quick good way to tackle it. 艺术总监给你一个任务，夕阳下的换成月夜中的作品。继续重复夕阳西下的操作步骤。 Just like with their sun set piece, we're going to lighten the entire layer ever so slightly so that we get a very pastel looking nice. And then we're going to drop the normal blue color and also the shadow blue color to make those two groups the light in the shadow, just like we did in our sun set piece. 我们把参考图的蓝色复制到作品里，And just like last time again, I'm just gonna go in and repaint my shadows, because this is a night time piece. 因为是夜间，所以与夕阳下图片相比，多绘制一些阴影。I'm gonna go a little bit darker and add shadows a little bit more as compared to the sun set piece. 

Well, I'm doing this. I'm always double checking against the reference to see if I get the color right. If I don't get the color right, this is the best part about photoshop. You can adjust it. You don't have to repaint everything all over again. 我总是反复和参考图进行校对，只需要调整，不需要重新绘制。 

P15 - 10:34调节什么？ 

You can just use color balance or hue saturation, and just change it ever so slightly, 只需要通过颜色平衡和色相饱和度来进行调节。to get the exact color that you want. After that I'm looking at my piece and I want to add some light to it, but because it's not sunset. So the sun is a very strong, we're dealing with moonlight, I'm doing it a very soft overlay globe. 强度的增加，比不让落日余晖的强烈，月光的皎洁打下来的熠熠生辉的感觉。I wanted to do very ambient. Almost kind of like, this is a keys that you can fall asleep to. 我想做边缘光，给人看到想安静睡去的感觉。And before you know it, you've completed another piece. Your art director is so proud of you that he's going to give you a promotion. Or you're so proud of yourself. Because you don't work for an art director that you give yourself a pat on the back and a promotion in your head,技术进步可以给到自己里程碑的仪式感。

P15 - 11:29总结调节的内容。 

by using layers like multiply, overlay and color adjustments, color balance, and hue saturation adjustments, you are easily able to change your neutral lighting piece into any kind of scenario that you want. 可以通过调节多层，重叠，颜色校对，颜色平衡，色相饱和度调节，可以把中性光调节到你想要场景的颜色。 by simply looking at a reference image, because that's where the color comes from, from life. Just stick to a mother nature, because mother nature knows best. And look at photography or look at the outside world. You can learn a lot more by actually doing. Because a lot of times actually going in and getting your hands dirty and really just doing it and trying to get as close to an image just as possible, will give you a very solid result.从自然中借鉴，不断的尝试接近你想要的结果。 If you still aren't satisfied, you can always paint on Top of it and add your own kind of color twist. 在你的作品上，可以不断的做颜色微调。But this is the fastest and well, most foolproof way to adjust your piece to any time of day. And anything that your client or director or yourself might ask.这是快速高效的方案，满足自己和合作伙伴对作品的要求。

P15 - 12:32比如一个图片三种场景。 

In less than a work day, you were able to produce three different images. All of that are suitable quality and are all very different from each other to be considered essentially different paintings at this point. 短时间内的一个图片通过更改颜色，可以被认为是做了三幅不同的图画。至少展示一天中三个不同时间点。 

P15 - 12:47从现在起接下来课程。 

From here on out, we're going to be diving into the specifics on how to actually paint. Because I guarantee you probably looked at this demo and felt that some of the parts were a little bit too fast or that you didn't understand what I was doing with some layers or some clipping masks.可能你不是特别清楚图层和剪切模板。 And that's completely okay because the next few episodes are just going to be talking strictly about that. 接下来的几个章节探讨具体步骤。So we're now moving away from lecture, and we're going to go into the fun zone of doing it.

But this demo was really to show you the power of using multiply layers, the power of using color balance and hue, saturation, power overlays.
