316S13 (1.4435) stainless steel is an austenitic high corrosion resistant material. According to the EN specification, the grade is written as 316S13 (1.4435) or 316LMo or X2CrNiMo18-14-3. 316S13 (1.4435) stainless steel is usually compared with 316L (1.4404) stainless steel grade. 316S13 (1.4435) material has higher content of chromium, nickel and molybdenum. Because of these elements, it is more corrosion resistant than 316L (1.4404). 316S13 (1.4435) has no magnetism in 316S13 (1.4435). This grade is used in corrosive environments. If the 316L grade is not enough, 316S13 (1.4435) stainless steel may be a good substitute. 1.4435 Materials are commonly used in petrochemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, chemical plant and automobile industry. This grade is not heat resistant and is not suitable for use at high temperatures.
