       走亲戚是中国人在春节时期亲戚之间交流感情的活动。这是一种古老的汉族民俗文化，是中国人祖祖辈辈传承下来的习俗，它是亲戚间联络感情，互相慰问的一种亲情大交流。大年三十过罢，初一，初二起，人们就开始走亲串友了，无论城市或乡村，在通往各个集镇、村庄的道路上，带着各色礼物、穿戴一新的男女老幼来往穿梭、熙熙攘攘，就像赶年集一样，非常热闹。除了旧识叙旧、外出游玩，走亲戚也有很多一系列的礼节，从衣装打扮，到言谈举止，再到送礼规矩，都遵循着一套风俗习惯。因此，很多人也把走亲戚视作对后代进行礼仪教育，让晚辈学习中国传统礼节的大好时机。

     “Zou qin qi”, (translated as “visiting relatives”), is a traditional event during which Chinese people pay visits to their relatives during Spring Festival. It is an ancient folk culture from the Han people and a custom of Chinese people that is passed on from generation to generation and a major visiting event amongst relatives for keeping in touch, sharing their greetings and feelings with each other. After the Spring Festival Day, from the first or the second day of the lunar January, people will start paying visits to their relatives and friends. No matter it is in cities or in the countryside, or on the way to the towns and villages, you can always see all kinds of people, young and old, males and females, dressed in new clothes, with various kinds of gifts in hand, hustling on the road with full activeness from or to their relatives, as if you were walking in the new year market fair, full of vigor. In addition to having pleasurable talks with old friends and about those warm memories and joyful sightseeing, there are also a wide range of rites and etiquettes when people pay visits to their relatives: from their dressing code, to their manner and speech, and to their gift giving, all of which, follow a suite of traditions and customs. Therefore, a lot treat these visits as a great chance to cultivate their younger generations on traditional Chinese customs, rites and etiquettes
