“还在睡觉，傻毛球！”豹崽一边打了暗崽一拳，一边喵喵叫着。

暗崽的皮毛立刻竖了起来，低声咆哮着，“这不关你的事，为什么不让我睡？”

“你这样怎么成为武士？你连黎明巡逻都赶不上！”

“我们只是猫崽！”

“总有一天我们会成为武士！不，只有我会成为武士，白星甚至不会给你一个学徒的名字，难道不是吗？”

“别再认为你是最好的了。你还一整晚都在打呼噜！我简直不敢相信你哥哥是怎么和你待一起的！”暗崽吼道。

“你们两个，别闹了，到外面玩吧。”雪脸发出稍有烦躁地喵着。

暗崽想，至少豹崽比亮崽好。豹崽总是乐意和她打架玩儿，但亮崽一天到晚就知道和白崽在斑耳的巢穴里玩。

“嘿，你知道白星在带领巡逻队去检查狐狸了吗？我们去跟踪他！”豹崽不知从哪里冒了出来。

“当然！我们走吧！我打赌我们会在黄崽和白崽之前得到学徒名！”

她们迅速而小心地向狐狸窝走去。

“看！在那儿！”暗崽低声说。“我看见了火足和灰心。”

“安静，别让他们发现我们。”

“白星，我闻到猫的味道。”喵着雪叶。

“我也是，”霜爪环顾四周，“它们在荆棘丛中吗？”

“暗崽？豹崽？你们两个在这里干什么？”

“不，白星，我们只是，只是溜出去散散步。”豹崽颤抖着。

“我们是来抓狐狸的！”暗崽骄傲地喵道，“我们会成为学徒，对吧？”

“首先，猫崽是不允许离开营地的，”白星喵喵叫道，“而且，这里没有狐狸，日星骗了我们。你最好和我们一起回去。这是一个严重的问题，我会考虑你们的惩罚。”

Chapter 2

"Still sleeping, stupid furbal!"mewed Leopard kit as she punched Darkkit in her face.

Darkkit's fur straightend in a second, growling,"It's none of your business. Why I can't sleep?"

"How can you be a warrior like that? You couldn't even do the dawn patrol!"

"We're still kits!"

"We'll be warriors one day! No,I will be a warrior, Whitestar won't even give you a apprentice name, will he?"

"Just stop thinking you're the best.You were snorting for a whole night! I couldn't ever believe how your brother manage sleeping with you!"roared Darkkit.

"You two, stop fuzzing and play outside."Snowface let out a annoyed meow.

At least Leopardkit is better than Brightkit, thought Darkkit.Leopardkit is always willing to play-fight, but all Brightkit knew is playing in Patchear's den with Whitekit.

"Hey, you knew that Whitestar is leading a patrol to check on the foxes again?Let's go and track him!"Leopardkit popped out of nowhere.

"Of course！Let‘s go！I bet we will get our apprentice names before Yellowkit and Whitekit!"

They stepped quick and carefully, heading to the fox den.

"Look! There!"whispered Darkkit."I see Firefoot and Grayheart."

"Quiet. Don't let them find us."

"Whitestar, I smell cats."mewed Snowleaf.

"Me too,"Frostpaw looked around,"Are they in the brambles?"

"Darkkit? Leopardkit? What are you two doing here?"

"No, Whitestar, we are just, just slipping out for a walk."Leopardkit trembled.

"We're here to catch the foxes!"mewed Darkkit proudly,"We'll make apprentices, right?"
