Sans is the main character of Insanity! Tale. He has gone insane after being hunted by the First Humanfor weeks after the genocide route, and has built up LOVE and EXP by slaughtering dozens of humans who foolishly fell down Mt. Ebott during his time hiding. After defeating the First Human and escaping from his timeline, Sans continued onward to invade and/or destroy dozens of universes that peaked his interest. After the events of An Unfortunate Invasion, Sans is currently in a state of "Final Insanity", meaning he has reached the peak of Insanity and does not listen to logic or reason.

appearance & Relations

Sans looks much like Undertale Sans, with the key differences being the green hoodie, the brown shorts, the black shirt and the massive scar across his torso, his shorts also have no stripes. He has a barely noticeable scar on his forehead that he achieved from his first battle with the First Human. His eyes are red from insanity, and his glowing eye has been drastically changed from the amount of EXP he has been achieving.

Personality

Sans's personality is very erratic and he could snap at any moment, while still maintaining the intelligence Undertale Sans had. The only person that manages to calm him down during an insane breakdown is Rose, but she cannot always be there. Sans has the thought that everyone hates him, and that his only purpose is to destroy AUs. This makes him a very dangerous foe to meet.

Friends & Family

Of course, Sans has his friends and his family. Below is a list of all of them and what they do to impact his life.

Rose, his one and only friend. She helped him to overcome his fear of the First Human and take them on once and for all. If Sans were to ever lose her, god knows what would happen.

"PAPYRUS", his ghostly and corrupted brother. He showed Sans how to summon wormholes into other universes, and assisted him in his various trips across the Multiverse. It is truly unknown if "PAPYRUS" can die, but chances are there will be consequences

Enemies

Sans has made a lot of enemies during his reign of universal destruction. Here is a list of his most notable enemies.

AvengeTale! Sans, who is one of Reaper! Sans's swordsmen. AvengeTale wanted Sans dead after Sans invaded and killed everyone in his AU. AvengeTale, on a desperate attempt to kill Sans, fabricated an alternate universe and made it look to be Altertale. The trap worked, but it only made Sans hellbent on killing him, as the trap had killed Rose.

Weapons & Abilities

Sans has many different weapons and abilities he can use against the player (or anyone else). These range from the obvious Gaster Blasters, to Complete Universal Destruction.

THE AXE OF A THOUSAND SOULS |> "A weapon of mass destruction, the final sighting of any number of the dozens of humans he viciously slayed, and the carrier of power able to annihilate a timeline. Sans crafted it in Alphys's lab using lost scrap recovered from various areas in it, barely even being held together right, but able to do its job. A spear for impalement, a hook for ripping alongside prongs on the hook to snare and serrate, and of course the part of the axe that does the chopping. Can be swiped to create red aura bursts of energy, which scour across the air until they hit, creating an explosion. Can also be cloned to a lesser degree via his AURA MANIPULATION ability. It holds the energy of every being he slayed with it, and can chime to pure red when made to use all of it."

• SENSUAL ENHANCEMENTS |> "Sans can ‘sense’ beings throughout timelines, as well as timelines themselves. The more power output that a being possesses, the more clearly Sans can feel it. His senses were also improved, from his hearing and touch, to his own smell and eyesight, like a rabid dog."
• LOW HEALING |> "Taught by Rose, Sans can use this ability to slowly, but surely, passively recover lost HP. He cannot use this ability on any other being."
• TELEPORTATION |> "This ability allows him to wilfully glide through entire galaxies, alongside others, in a matter of milliseconds."
• WORMHOLE MANIPULATION |> "Can terraform spacetime to create holes that lead to other timelines and dimensions, can also be used to attack and cut. This ability was initially gifted to him by his brother PAPYRUS."

• LV/EXP UTILISATION |> "Using this, Sans’s Insanity Blasters will turn into PURPLE/HOLY MOTHER OF GOD Blasters, and his bones will become small and purple with MADNESS and EXP."  (HOLY MOTHER OF GOD BLASTER) The HMoG Blasters are HUGE, being able to dwarf entire planets, and radiate a constant lethal energy of LV, DETERMINATION and MADNESS. To fire one of these costs Sans a huge chunk of his own willpower, due to the raw power it needs. Just firing 4 of these is enough to kill him alone.(EXP BONES) The EXP Bones are small but INCREDIBLY lethal. If they pierce the average human once, that human will die within only a minute of contact. On touch, it will administer a type of poison known as LV Poison. LV Poison is like KR but it actually deals more damage to those who have less LV. It is a constant factor, and will slowly destroy a body’s own cells until it is ceased by either an ability or it ‘timing out’.
• DREAD AURA |> "Due to an intense combination of MADNESS, LV and DT, Sans emits a constant Aura of DREAD. Those who are lesser can fall victim to this, suffering copious amounts of paranoia, schizophrenia and psychosis. They may even have seizures, and victims have often documented seeing their worst fears ignite into reality and ‘eat them whole’, drastically weakening their state by around 50%. While this primarily affects beings of lesser power, beings who are stronger can also be affected, just far lesser."
• AURA MANIPULATION |> "Taught by Rose, he can utilise Aura and use it to clone his attacks, such as making more axes, exploding, creating orbs of deadly energy, and even slightly flying by hovering without using telekinesis."
• GLOBAL UNIVERSE DESTRUCTION |>"His signature move. To begin this move, Sans will begin charging energy from within the blade he wields, it becoming redder and redder with the pure energy required as he can barely even hold it anymore. Once complete, the density would be so great he cannot physically hold it anymore and would let it astray into the air. It floats as it is anchored in place. The sheer energy of the axe alone would be enough to tire him, but what comes next would be the ultimate price. Sans would presumably teleport away as the axe slowly swings, aiming towards the ground. The force required to even push this object would take a heavy toll on Sans's mind, sending his body and his mental health into a spirling decline. Once it has struck the ground, the impact will shock the entire structure of the universe, damaging logic and incinerating everything that lies within. It wouldn't take long for all law, logic and concept to eventually shatter, obliterating the entire universe and, with a result of this, the axe would obtain and absorb it's power. Upon absorption, Sans would get it back, but he himself would be too tired to even move. His limbs would be heavier than planets, and his mind would be exhausted to the point of near death. It would take him weeks to recover from this feat, but with the reward of more power, which he'd see as more important."
• SAVE & LOAD FILE MANIPULATION & DESTRUCTION |> "Can ‘break’ DETERMINATION saves using his own DT and hijack, or destroy them as his own, even being able to LOAD. This ability, however, is not reliable due to his Monster origin, and he does not know how to fully use it."

1. Sans has a fear of carrots, and hates the colour blue because it reminds him of the Genocide Route.
2. Unlike most AUs, Sans's bones are red, not white.
3. His first official theme was made by Jinify.
4. Sans' 'HMoG' Blasters are also often referred to as CHUNG.
5. During Sans' free time with Rose other then getting drunk, the two often play board games with each other
6. As shown in the main story, Sans crafted THE AXE out of spare parts found in Alphys' lab. Because of this, THE AXE appears to be rather unprofessionally made as Sans isnt a Blacksmith
7. As stated by TheCh1knLord, Sans' forehead scar (obtained from being grazed by the first human) is mainly metaphorical for that no matter what he does to forget, he'll always have a reminder of that day slapped onto his face.
