Recently I attended a career planning seminar. This seminar mainly discussed the importance of career planning and told us as college students how to plan our careers.
Through this career planning seminar, I realized that it's essential to have a career plan, because it helps us make effective career decisions and respond timely to new opportunities, and keeps us focused on our career goals. An Account and Summary of a Career Planning Seminar
It is prevalent with worries today to see a student struggling in the job market, foggy about what he needs and what he can. A clearer planning for job therefore is in great need. Universities are striving to (1) help students on their career skills.

Last Wednesday, our campus organized a seminar on career planning. I attended it with the purpose for (2) a better pay. There were full of junior, senior and postgrad students (3) eager for a job with high wages but were at a loss for (4) their job planning. In the seminar, the tutor provided a clear landscape better matching our personalities with career skill tests in various dimensions. We were asked to fill out questionnaires, take quizzes and finish mini projects that would examine our abilities to cope with (5) difficult people.

Personally, I think it a seminar well worth participating, as I reaped the benefits from (6) its clear perspectives to my part-time job choice and goal setting strategies. Furthermore, I learned how to truly grow up in a job and an efficient way of keeping track of my progress step by step. Now I am working as a part-time job shop clerk, following their instructions and reaped a lot more than just getting paid from my managers. Finally, not only did I better lever the balance between life and study, but also improved my problem-solving and time management skills. Worth saying, I am not just the one who reaped the benefits, those who attended all highly praised the seminar for its invaluable assets to their career planning. I advise that students should participate in this seminar at least once a semester for a better understanding of their own capabilities and demands.

It is never too early to plan your future. I also suggest that more seminars should be offered to students as this will greatly boost students' competitiveness in the fierce job market.

4- be at a loss for sth. 对某件事不知所措，对某件事一片迷茫
Many young people, especially those who just finished college, are at a loss for their future. 许多年轻人，尤其是刚毕业的大学生，通常对自己的未来一片迷茫。
5- cope with：应对难题，应对棘手的情况
You have to learn skills to cope with difficult people and things at work. 你必须学会一些在工作中应对难相处的人和难做的事情的能力。
6- reap the benefits from 从……中获得好处
句型：
I suggest / advise / recommend that sb. (should) .... 我建议……，虚拟语气句型。
比如：天很黑了，我建议Jenny早点回家。
It is very dark now, I suggest that Jenny go home early.
这里go不适用三单，因为should在起作用，但是这种句型should多为省略。
too ... to ... 太……而不能
It is never too old to learn. 活到老学到老，什么时候学习都不晚。
The house was too expensive to buy. 这个房子太贵了，买不起。
It is never too early to plan your life. 规划你的人生要趁早。
