七七 | 动作描写思路和头部动作

1️⃣动作一拆三

男孩跳入湖中:

  • 词穷版:The boy jumped into the lake.
  • 三连版:The boy rushed to the lake, took off his clothes and jumped into the water.

Mac上了车:

  • 词穷版:Mac got in the car.
  • 三连版:Mac jumped off the bicycle, dashed into the car and closed the door.

我拿起书读:

  • 词穷版:I took a book to read.
  • 三连版:l immediately ran into my bedroom, found a chair to sit down and grabbed a book to read, with my hands slightly shaking.


2️⃣精准的动词

头部动作

强调动作(从短到长)

glance:扫视

  • He glanced at his watch.:他看了一下手表。

watch:观看、注视

  • She watched the kids playing in the yard.:她看着孩子们在院子里玩。

gaze:凝视

  • She gazed at him in amazement.:她惊异地注视着他。

stare:盯着看

  • l stared blankly at the paper in front of me.:我茫然地看着面前这张纸。

peer:费力地看、盯着

  • He peered closely at the photograph.:他聚精会神地端详着相片。

look into one's eyes:直视某人

  • I looked into his eyes and said,:“...我看着他的眼睛,说到...

强调动作(带有情感)

怒视:glare

  • The old woman glared at him.:那个老妇人怒视着他。

眨眼:blink

  • When I told him the news he didn't even blink.:我把那个消息告诉他时,他眼都没眨一下。(否定形式表示“毫不意外”)

强调结果

瞥见:glimpse

  • She glimpsed a group of people standing on the bank of a river.:她瞥见一群人站在河岸上。

发现,注意到:find

notice

  • He noticed him standing silently over by the window.:他注意到他默默地站在窗旁。

spot

  • l finally spotted my friend in the crowd.:我终于在人群中看见了我的朋友。

discover

  • On arriving home I discovered they had gone.:我一到家就发现他们已经离开了。

认出:recognize

  • l recognized him as soon as he came in the room.:他一进屋我就认出了他。


动词转名词,短句变长句

At the sight of the police officers, they ran off.:一看见那些警官,他们便逃跑了。

She caught sight of a car in the distance.:她瞥见远处有一辆车。

We lost sight of him in the crowd.:我们在人群里看不见他了。

He caught a glimpse of her in the crowd.:他一眼瞥见她在人群里。

One morning, I cast a glance at the headlines of the newspaper.:一天早上,我瞥了一眼报纸上的大字标题。

She threw me a quick, frightened glance.:她迅速而惊恐地看了我一眼。

He cast her an admiring glance.:他向她投去钦佩的且光。


sob:抽噎;啜泣

  • She began to sob again, burying her face in the pillow.:她又开始抽噎,把脸埋在枕头里。

weep:哭泣,流泪

  • She started to weep uncontrollably.:她不由自主地了起来。


《泪水的一生》

抑制泪水:sb. hold back one's tears

泪水打转:tears roll in one's eyes

眼眶湿润:eyes are wet

视线模糊:tears blur one's vision

热泪盈眶:tears well up

盈满泪水:eyes are flooded with tears

快要哭了:sb. be close to tears

突然爆哭:sb. burst into tears / burst out crying

眼泪流下:tears run / stream / roll down one's cheeks

悲痛欲绝:sb. weep one's eyes out / cry one's heart out

擦去泪水:sb. wipe the tears from one's eyes


giggle:咯咯笑

  • The girls giggled at the joke.:女孩子们让这笑话逗得咯咯笑。

chuckle:轻声地笑

  • The banker chuckled and said, "Of course not.":银行家轻声笑了,说道,“当然不。”

grin:露齿笑;咧嘴笑

  • They grinned with delight when they heard our news.:他们得知我们的消息时高兴得直咧着嘴笑。
  • He was grinning from ear to ear.:他笑得合不拢嘴。

beam:笑容满面;眉开眼笑

  • He beamed at the journalists.:他笑容满面地面对记者。
  • The children's faces beamed with happy smiles.:孩子们的脸上充溢着幸福的笑容。

snicker:窃笑

smirk:得意地笑

sneer:冷笑

mock:嗤笑


挤出笑容:force a smile

  • She forced a smile and told me not to worry about her.:她勉强地挤出一丝笑容,告诉我不要担心她。

挂着笑容:wear a big smile on one's face

  • She wore a shining smile on her face.她脸上挂着灿烂的笑容。

满脸笑容:be all smiles

  • Tom was all smiles when he heard the news.听到这消息,汤姆满面笑容。

突然大笑:burst out laughing / burst into laughter

  • She couldn't help bursting out laughing.:她忍不住大笑起来。
  • Seeing the funny picture, the whole class burst into laughter.:看到这张有趣的照片,全班同学都突然大笑起来。


从入口到吃完

尝:taste

  • He tasted the liquid medicine first before she drank it.:在她喝药之前,他先尝了一下。

咬:bite / take a bite

  • He took another bite of the apple.:他又咬了一口苹果。

嚼:chew

  • One girl was chewing gum.:一个女孩在嚼口香糖。
  • Rosa chewed on her lip and stared at the floor.:罗莎咬着嘴唇,眼睛盯着地板。

啃:nibble / take a nibble

  • We each took a nibble.:我们每人吃了一小口。
  • We sat drinking wine and nibbling olives.:我们坐在那儿,喝着葡萄酒嚼着橄榄

大声咀嚼:munch

  • Luke munched the chicken sandwiches.:卢克大声嚼着鸡肉三明治。

吞:swallow

  • Polly took a bite of the apple, chewed, and swallowed.:波莉咬了一口那个苹果,嚼了嚼吞了下去。


狼吞虎咽

devour

  • A medium-sized dog will devour at least one can of food plus biscuits per day.:一只中等大小的狗每天至少要干掉一罐食物外加饼干。

wolf down

  • That boy seized the food and wolf down it.:那男孩子一把抓过食物,狼吞虎咽般地吃了下去。

bolt down

  • I like to think back to high school, when I could bolt down three or four burgers and a pile of French fries.:我喜欢回想高中时,那时我可以一气吞下三四个汉堡和一大堆炸薯条。

cram down

  • l managed to cram down a few mouthfuls of food.:我好歹狼吞虎咽地吃了几口东西。


抬头:raise

  • He didn't even raise his head when I drove by.:我开车过去,他连头都没有抬。

点头:nod

  • "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded and smiled.:“你还好吧?”我问道。她点点头笑了。

摇头:shake

  • She shook her head in disbelief.:她不相信地摇摇头。

挠头:scratch

  • He scratched his head and looked thoughtful.:他挠着头显出一副深思的样子。

转头:turn

  • Meer folded his arms over his chest and turned his head away.:米尔把双臂交叠在胸前,扭开头去。

倾斜:tilt

  • His wife tilted his head to the side and inspected the wound.:他的妻子把他的头侧向一边,然后检查伤口。


各种低头

lower

  • He was so nervous that he lowered his head and loosened his tie.:他很紧张,以至于他低下头把领结解开了。

drop

  • Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head.:小男孩困窘地低下了头。

duck

  • Hearing the footsteps, he ducked his head in the grass.:一听到脚步声,他马上低下头,藏在草丛中。

hang

  • The boy hung (down) his head in shame when he was caught cheating.:这个男孩作弊被抓获时羞愧地抵下了头。
