The Fairy clapped her hands twice. A magnificent Poodle appeared, walking on his hind legs just like a man. A tricorn trimmed with gold lace was set at a rakish angle over a wig of white curls that dropped down to his waist. He wore a jaunty coat of chocolate-colored velvet, with diamond buttons, and with two huge pockets which were always filled with bones, dropped there at dinner by his loving mistress. 仙子拍了两下手，随即出现了一条雄壮的贵宾犬，他迈着他的两条后腿行走就跟一个人类一样。他卷卷的白色假发上潇洒地顶着一个镶嵌了金色蕾丝的三角帽，那一头假发更是垂到了腰间。他穿了一件张扬的外套，那外套是由巧克力色的丝绒做成的，纽扣是钻石做的，此外还有两个巨大的口袋，里面总是装满了骨头，都是他体贴的女主人在主餐时扔给他的。
