2: No levels were saved from any criticism just because of their importance in the history of Geometry Dash, I judged all levels based on how good they were for their time, regardless of their impact in the game's history as a whole. A top 1 can be very important for GD's history, and also be abysmally bad (like Phobos). This video is not "Every Top 1 Demon, from least to most influential", but "Every Top 1 Demon, from Worst to Best", keep that in mind.
3: More recent Top 1s (like Slaughterhouse and others) weren't included in this video because they weren't out back when I wrote the script (this video has been in the works for more than half a year).
3.5: Any sarcasm in the video is meant for comedic purposes only, and is not intended as toxicity towards any particular person.
4: I only cover things I find relevant in each level review, so for instance, in one level, I might comment on its theming and sync because there's something that stands out there (either good or bad), and on another Top 1, I might focus on other level design aspects entirely. There's no rigid "must include theming, sync, and memorability" requirement, or anything of that sort.
5: My judging standards get higher with each section, so while I may be a bit more lenient with my pre 1.9 reviews, I'm far more demanding on the 2.1 section, for example.
6: Some levels were released in one version, but got reallocated to other GD versions for a reason, I'll explain some: Sakupen Hell and Sonic Wave were both released in 2.0, but both Top 1s were fully made in 1.9, hence why they're in the 1.9 section.Phobos is in the 1.9 section instead of the 2.0 one because it would be at the bottom either way, even in the 2.0 section, so I put it in 1.9 to give it more of a fighting chance (it still got placed at the bottom of 1.9 regardless though), and the majority of its parts were made in 1.9, not in 2.0, so putting it against levels like Artificial Ascent would feel unfair.
7: Rarely in the video, levels lack a showcase with my icons, and that's because I couldn't find those levels in the GD servers to record footage for them (like is the case for Theory of Darkness).
8: I tried my best to include every Top 1 Demon in Geometry Dash, but since there's so many Top 1s to rank, it's likely I forgot some more obscure ones here and there, so feel free to let me know if I forgot some!
9: When I complain about some levels having too much pure white on screen at once, I don't mean that's always a bad thing, because it can work, it just takes a lot of skill to pull off in a way that looks pleasing (like Xender Game managed to pull off in White Space).
10: In my Zodiac review, when I say "the BG visualizer goes on top of air deco there," it also goes on top of pretty much all air deco on that section, not "just there", I just worded it this way to make it easier to understand.
11: The Demons List wasn't used as guidance here, I've listed every single Top 1 demon that I could find, even the ones that were Top 1s before the official Geometry Dash Demons List came to be.
