Job description:
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate for this project. You`ll be supervised by Nils Jostmann and Bastiaan Rutjens, who are both part of the faculty of the Social Psychology program group at the University of Amsterdam. The project will be embedded in the Psychology of Science Lab, which is led by Bastiaan and consists of two other PhD candidates, a postdoc, and a research assistant. The PhD project will be conducted within the Social Psychology program group at the University of Amsterdam. Within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, the discipline of Psychology offers a range of Bachelor's and Master’s degree programmes, while its research is carried out at the Psychology Research Institute (Psyres). The successful candidate will be part of the Social Psychology program group.
What are you going to do:
The preservation of natural resources on a habitable planet for future generations is probably the greatest challenge for humanity in the 21st century. This project will focus on the psychology of sustainability, with a particular focus on psychological distance to climate change and accompanying perceptions of the urgency and complexity of the problem. Drawing from theories in social cognition and social psychology, we aim for a multi-method APProach that consists of lab experiments, surveys, and intervention studies.
You will report the research results at project meetings, conferences and in international journals, ultimately leading to a PhD dissertation. You will also contribute to teaching in the Psychology curriculum (29%), including tutorials, lectures and individual supervision at bachelor and master level, which should prepare for a Basic Teaching Qualification (BKO).
Qualificarion and profile:
You have a passion for research and a demonstrable interest in the topic of the project and experience in and/or strong affinity in teaching.
Your experience and profile:
-master’s degree (preferably obtained in a research master program) in social psychology, cognitive psychology, psychological methods, communication science, or equivalent program;
-strong in conceptual thinking as well as in data analysis skills, preferably R;
-experience/strong affinity with behavioral outcome measures and behavior change;
-experience with and/or strong affinity with teaching;
-excellent writing skills;
-excellent English proficiency.
We offer:
The position concerns temporary employment of 38 hours per week for a maximum term of 5,5 years. The initial employment is for one year. Following a positive assessment and barring altered circumstances, this term will be extended by a maximum of 54 months, which should result in the conferral of a doctorate. We will put together a curriculum which will also include the opportunity to attend training courses and both national and international events. For this position the University Job Classification profile 'promovendus' APPlies.
Your salary will be €2,443 gross per month in the first year and will increase to €3,122 in the final year, based on full-time employment and in keeping with the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities. We additionally offer an extensive package of secondary benefits, including 8% holiday allowance and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.

香港城市大学计算材料课题组招 计算物理/化学/材料/化工 方向 博士生数名,2022年入学。

招生要求:
专业要求:专业相关。物理、化学、化工或材料相关专业硕士毕业生或本科毕业生,具有DFT、MD 或 ML研究经历,或者对计算非常感兴趣;
语言要求(学校的硬性要求):雅思6.5以上,或者 托福79以上, 或者 CET-6 > 490;
发表过SCI文章;
要提醒一下的是,今年香港各大学校的录取过程和要求都有变化,大概过程是导师提交材料,院里和研究生院会再度审核并且择优录取,也就是说大概要过三关:导师-->系里-->研究生院。相应的要求也变高了一些,根据目前通过审核招到的学生来看, 学校、成绩、文章三者当中起码有一项特别突出才有可能会录取(主要是成绩的问题,绩点尽量高些)。
(其实导师是非常愿意招人的,本着先到先得的原则提交了很多学生的材料,但是之后研究生院卡了一些人,可能是由于申请的学生有点多,存在竞争。)
