帝弓迹躔歌 [注一]

［注一］本诗从“歌行体”。此种体裁之诗歌声韵自由、句式灵活，且常以“歌”“行”题名。因篇幅较长，故校勘时按故事进展分节，以便读者查阅。
帝弓：当为称号。蒋义彬《千金裘》引《白虎通》：“天弓，虹也。亦名帝弓。”《列仙传》引《仙书》记载，称“黄帝采首山之铜，铸鼎于荆山之下，鼎成，有龙垂胡髯下迎帝，乃升天。群臣百僚悉持龙髯，从帝而升，攀帝弓及龙髯，拔而弓坠，群臣不得从，望帝而悲号。故后世以其处为鼎湖，名其弓为乌号焉。”这里的“帝弓”是“黄帝的弓”，因为群臣悲号而得名“乌号”。又模拟宇宙巡猎命途有一祝福名为“乌号綦箭”，此祝福出自《列子·仲尼》：“逢蒙之弟子曰鸿超，怒其妻而怖之。引乌号之弓，綦卫之箭，射其目。”綦（qí）是地名。又见下文“雕弧”条。
迹躔（chán）：犹泛指足迹。《尔雅·释兽》：“麋：牡麔，牝麎。其子䴠，其跡躔，绝有力狄。”（麋鹿：雄兽叫做麔，雌兽叫做麎，幼崽叫做䴠，足迹叫做躔，极其有力的叫做狄。）吕思勉《中国民族史》：“神农迹躔兖、豫；黄帝、尧、舜，则宅中冀州，已隐有自西徂东之迹。”
歌行（xíng）体：七言古诗与骈赋相互渗透和融合而产生的一种诗体（袁行霈《中国文学史》第二卷）。代表作品有李白《将进酒》、杜甫《茅屋为秋风所破歌》《兵车行》、白居易《长恨歌》等。
Ode to Reignbow Path [†1] 帝弓行迹颂

[†1] This poem is in the ode form, a genre which uses free verse rhyme and meter, flexible structure, and often uses words like "Ode" in their title. For ease of reading and due to the length of the poem, the editors had split this work into sections based on progression of the narrative. 本诗从颂歌体，使用自由韵律和节奏，结构灵活，常以“颂”等为题。因诗歌较长，编者依照故事进展将原文分作数段，以便阅读。
Reignbow：帝弓，由 reign（为王，统治）+bow（弓）组成。
Path：也是“命途”的英译。
其一
君不见昔时苍城皆琅玕，凶星啮噬蚀不销。
君不见昔时圆峤满碧瑰，经星锈涩路迢迢。
君不见昔时岱舆具沙棠，坠若流火似焚膏。［注二］
君不见星壑漫际多颠沛，人寰万世一苇草。
［注二］琅玕、碧瑰、沙棠皆为古国神话中仙树，传说其通体为美玉，果实可使人长生不老。岱舆、圆峤、苍城皆为已毁仙舟：岱舆于星历1200年在对抗丰饶民“视肉”的战役中殉爆；圆峤于星历3200年在“阋墙之战”中失控，航入红巨星后失踪；苍城于星历6300年被活化行星“噬界罗睺”吞噬。由此可推测本诗成稿时间至少在星历6300年之后，但亦有后人补录可能。
苍城：原型或为《云笈七签》十大洞天中的青城山洞。十大洞天为：第一王屋山洞，第二委羽山洞，第三西城山洞，第四西玄山洞，第五青城山洞，第六赤城山洞，第七罗浮山洞，第八句曲山洞，第九林屋山洞，第十括苍山洞。
圆峤（qiáo）、岱舆：即员峤、岱舆。《列子·汤问》：“渤海之东不知几亿万里，有大壑焉……其中有五山焉：一曰岱舆，二曰员峤，三曰方壶，四曰瀛洲，五曰蓬莱。……于是岱舆员峤二山流于北极，沉于大海……”
琅玕（gān）、碧瑰、沙棠：《抱朴子》：“初诞还云，从昆仑来，诸亲故竞共问之，昆仑何似？答曰：天不问其高几里，要于仰视之，去天不过十数丈也。上有木禾，高四丈九尺，其穗盈车，有珠玉树沙棠琅玕碧瑰之树，玉李玉瓜玉桃，其实形如世间桃李，但为光明洞彻而坚，须以玉井水洗之，便软而可食。”
琅玕本为（玉石）珠。《山海经·西次山经》：“其上多青雄黄，多藏琅玕、黄金、玉。”又《山海经·海内西经》：“服常树，其上有三头人，司琅玕树。”郭璞《注》：“琅玕，子似珠。《尔雅》曰：‘西北之美者，有昆仑之琅玕焉。’庄周曰：‘有人三头，递卧递起，以司琅玕与玗琪子。’谓此人也。”（《尔雅·释地》：“西方之美者，有霍山之多珠玉焉。西北之美者，有昆仑虚之璆琳琅玕焉。”）
沙棠：《山海经·西山经》：“有木焉，其状如棠，黄华赤实，其味如李而无核，名曰沙棠，可以御水，食之使人不溺。”
不销：即不消。
锈涩：生锈。李白《酬张卿夜宿南陵见赠》：“宝刀隐玉匣，锈涩空莓苔。”
人寰：人世、人间。白居易《长恨歌》：“回头下望人寰处，不见长安见尘雾。”
视肉：《山海经》中记载的一种动物。郭璞《注》：“聚肉，形如牛肝，有两目也。食之无尽，寻复更生如故。”
阋（xì）墙：指内部相争。《诗经·小雅·常棣》：“兄弟阋于墙，外御其务。”“务”通“侮”。
罗睺：佛教典籍中多以罗睺吞日月解释日月食。印度占星术则认为罗睺与计都二阴星遮蔽日月引起日月食。罗睺被称为蚀神，计都被称为蚀神尾。
Part I 其一
You have not seen the Cangcheng full of Langgan, consumed by the planet of sentient evil, standing firm till the end. 你不曾看到，苍城长满琅玕，坚持到最后一刻，终被有感知的邪星吞噬。
You have not seen the Yuanqiao covered in Bigui, sailing on a path of no return. To the crimson star it rends. 你不曾看到，圆峤遍体碧瑰，航行在无归之路，驶进那深红的恒星深处。
You have not seen the Daiyu verdant with Shatang, plummeting like a hurtling flame, burnt like lamp oil spent.[†2] 你不曾看到，岱舆沙棠葱茏，坠落如奔腾之火，最后像灯油般燃烧殆尽。
You have not seen the tumultuous journey in the bowels of space, where human and stars alike are transient as reeds. 你不曾看到，深空旅途动荡，人类和星辰无异，皆是一竿芦苇转瞬即逝。
[†2] Langgan, Bigui, and Shatang are all mystic trees found in primeval imperium legends, with trunks made of jade and bearing fruits that grant immortality. The Daiyu, the Yuanqiao, and the Cangcheng are all Xianzhou ships that have been destroyed. The Daiyu exploded in 1200 Star Calendar during the campaign against the Viscorpus, a Denizen of Abundance race. The Yuanqiao lost control during the Civil War in 3200 Star Calendar, plunging into a red giant and disappearing completely. The Cangcheng was devoured by the activated planet Rahu, Devourer of Worlds, in 6300 Star Calendar. This suggests that the ode was composed after 6300 Star Calendar, but it's also possible that later authors have amended the original. 琅玕、碧瑰和沙棠是古国传说中的神木，通体玉制，其果可赐人长生不老。岱舆、圆峤和苍城是仙舟舰船，均已被毁。岱舆在抗击丰饶民视肉的战役中于星历 1200 年炸毁。圆峤在星历 3200 年的内战中失控，坠入红巨星中失踪。苍城则是在星历 6300 年被活化行星“世界吞噬者”罗睺吞下。这说明这首颂歌是在星历 6300 年之后创作的，但也有可能是后来者修改了原文。
Viscorpus：视肉。由 vis（视）+corpus（身体）组成。
Denizen of Abundance：丰饶民。
Star Calendar：星历。
Rahu：汉译“罗睺”。
Devourer of Worlds：噬界。字面意思是“诸世界的吞噬者”。
时茫茫鸿蒙初启曙，渺渺大荒见滥觞。
四塞龙虎相吞剥，中崮万乘举戈氅。
帝尊明断纳诸侯，金人收兵灭帷灯。
八埏磅礴终一统，九垓浩荡始同风。［注三］
［注三］本段描述了仙舟联盟历史古国时期，无名帝王统一星球之盛况。“金人收兵”指帝王回收天下兵器、以金人机巧维持治安之故事。
四塞：指四面都有要塞。《史记·秦始皇本纪》：“秦地被山带河以为固，四塞之国也。”
崮：指四面陡峭，山顶较为平坦的山。
氅（chǎng）：一种像鹤的水鸟的羽毛，可制作仪仗用的旗幡。
金人收兵：贾谊《过秦论》：“隳名城，杀豪俊，收天下之兵，聚之咸阳，销锋鍉，铸以为金人十二，以弱天下之民。”
帷灯：帷帐中的明灯，形容事情若隐若现，无法隐藏。
八埏（yán）、九垓：八埏指八方边际之处，即天地之终极；九垓指中央至八极之地。司马相如《封禅文》：“大汉之德，逢涌原泉，沕潏曼羡，旁魄四塞，云布雾散，上畅九垓，下溯八埏。”
In the beginning when the world was new, the wastelands to our ancestors did attend. 在世界还很新的时候，我们的祖先便在开垦荒芜之地。
Where nations warred amongst forts, where the plain cavalry's banners did suspend. 此时各国战争不断，而平原上有骑兵的旌旗飘扬。
The wise sovereign quelled the local lords. Using Aurumatons, did deceit cease and mend. 那位雄主平定了诸侯。用金人消除欺诈，改善时弊。
All cardinal directions were ruled under one. A world unified, standing unbent.[†3] 四方归于一人。天下一统，屹立不倒。
[†3] This section describes the glorious days when the unnamed sovereign united the entire planet during the Primeval Imperium Age of the Xianzhou Alliance. "Replacement by Aurumaton" refers to the story of the sovereign's ban on all forms of weaponry and replacing security institutions with Aurumatons and Ingenia to maintain public order. 本节描述了无名君王在仙舟联盟的古国时代统一天下的辉煌历史。 “用金人”指的是禁止一切形式的武器，而用金人和机巧维持公共秩序之事。
Aurumaton：金人。由前缀 aurum（意思是“金”）+ automaton（自动人形机器人）组成。
Ingenia：机巧。源于拉丁语 ingenium（天赋、才能）。
仙使接翼青天蔽，更击复更思穹桑。［注四］
但得楼船渡深空，贯星翾翔谒药王。［注五］

接翼：翅膀挨着翅膀。
更击复更思：犹越打越思念。元稹《说剑》：“高唱荆卿歌，乱击相如缶。更击复更唱，更酌亦更寿。”
穹桑：高大的桑树。或为地名。王其和《清代雅学史》引《别雅》：“穹桑，空桑也。《吕览》:‘伊尹生于穹桑’;《春秋纬》:‘少昊邑于穹桑’。即空桑也。”
翾（xuān）翔：飞翔。
The divine race encroached and covered the sky. From Muldrasil poured these fiends.[†4] 神族侵入，遮蔽天空。这些恶魔来自穹桑。
Then cruisers and dreadnaughts launched to the depths. To Sanctus Medicus, crossing eons, messengers we send.[†5] 之后，大小舰船驶入深空。我们历经亿万年，向药王派出使者。
[†4] "The divine race" means the Wingweavers, one of the Denizens of Abundance races. Muldrasil is this race's home world, a planet-sized giant tree that draws energy from the stars. Here, we can see that the Denizens of Abundance had made contact with various Xianzhou clans as early as the Primeval Imperium Age. “神族” 指丰饶民中的造翼者。其母世界穹桑是一棵从诸星吸收能量的行星级巨树。此处可以看到，丰饶民早在古国时代就已经与仙舟各部族接触。
[†5] "Sanctus Medicus" is the Plagues Author, one who presides over the Path of Abundance. Today, this title is mainly reserved for the henchmen of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus. “药王”即瘟疫之主，司掌丰饶命途。如今，这个称谓多见于“药王秘传”党羽。
Muldrasil：穹桑。由 mulberry（桑树）+ Yggdrasil（北欧神话的世界树）组成。
Sanctus Medicus：药王。sanctus 是赞颂之词，意为“圣哉”。medicus 是拉丁语的“医生”。
Wingweaver：造翼者。由 wing（翅膀）+weaver（纺织工）组成。
九艨出一曰曜青，艨中洞天多任侠。
侠者大也莫帝弓，能擘雕弧狩游星。
上绝辰垠摘石珀，下会星渊斗虚鲸。［注六］
旦销偃偶摇铁钺，夕斩视肉搴旌旗。［注七］
五艟冈峦烟燧灭，八舻河川氛雾霁。［注八］
追忆帝君平古州，威武不与帝弓齐。
［注六］“摘石珀”犹指仙舟民观测到星神“克里珀”之星墙一事。“斗虚鲸”指约星历500年前后，仙舟联盟与虚空歌鲸群落接触一事。“斗虚鲸”应在“摘石珀”之前，但作者为使行文连贯将之倒置；另据记载，帝弓生于星历1700年前后，绝无亲历此类事件可能，此处显然为挪用。后文多见此类情况，故不再赘述。
［注七］“销偃偶”指仙舟民从金人手中夺取舰船控制权一事，起于星历1400年前后，止于岁阳之战。“斩视肉”指星历1200年前后仙舟与视肉作战一事。

曜青：《云笈七签》：“第七罗浮山洞 周回五百里，名曰朱明曜真之洞天，在循州博罗县，属青精先生治之。”“曜青”或改自“曜真”。
擘雕弧：张开装饰了雕花的弓。王维《少年行》：“一身能擘两雕弧，虏骑千重只似无。”
雕弧即雕弓。张闻玉《古代天文历法讲座》引苏轼《江城子·密州出猎》：“会挽雕弓如满月，西北望，射天狼。”并解释“雕弓”为天弓“弧矢”星。又引《史记·天官书》正义：“弧九星，在狼东南，天之弓也。以伐叛怀远，又主备盗贼之知奸邪者。”及《晋书·天文志》：“狼一星，在东并东南。狼为野将，主侵略。”“弧九星，在狼东南，天弓也，主备盗贼，常向于狼。”得出结论说，“天弓即弧矢，就是对付天狼的。”
辰垠：星辰的边界。古时“辰”指恒星。
虚鲸：原型或许是道格拉斯·亚当斯《生命，宇宙以及一切》第 12 章中的“银色大角星超虚鲸”（silver Arcturan Megavoidwhale）。又白居易《答箭簇》：“何不向西射？西天有狼星；何不向东射？东海有长鲸。”
搴（qiān）：拔取。
星墙：原型或为超新星泡，如猎户座斗篷（Orion’s cloak）。
岁阳：古人发现木星运行周期大约为十二年，因此将木星定为岁星，用来记年。做法是：将天赤道带均匀分为十二等分，每份称为“次”。木星每年会行经一次。之后又设想一个运行方向与木星相反的天体，称为“岁阴”“太阴”或“太岁”，因此岁星又称为“岁阳”。
Amongst the Nine was one Yaoqing, its delves had many heroes attend. 九舟当中有曜青，许多英雄来到它的洞穴。
按：英译给人的感觉是，很多英雄从各个地方来到曜青，探索它的洞穴（洞天）。所以，英文圈没有帝弓生于曜青的说法。
The greatest among them was the Reignbow. With their bow, even stars may rend. 他们之中最伟大的便是帝弓，他的弓箭连繁星也能撕裂。
From the budding shores where ambers are plucked, to the stellar abyss where void whales fend.[†6] 在新岸采掘琥珀，于星渊抵御虚鲸；
From puppets disempowered by iron mallets, to slaying Viscorpus and having their flags upend.[†7] 锤打傀儡取回权力，杀败视肉夺走旌旗；
Flames of war snuffed from the five Navium Astriger, mists of memory on the eight Xianzhou ships' rivers ascend.[†8] 战火在五艘星舰上止息，记忆的雾霭在八座仙舟的河中升起。
Remember how sovereign ruled the ancient lands, yet the mighty Reignbow none may contend. 仍记得君王治理古代的土地，但强大的帝弓无可匹敌。
[†6] "From the budding shores where ambers are plucked" refers to when Xianzhou observed the Celestial Comet Wall being built by the Aeon Qlipoth. "Where void whales fend" refers to the Xianzhou Alliance coming into contact with the void song whales around 500 Star Calendar. This event should have happened before "ambers are plucked," but the poet inverted their order for linguistic flow. Also, based on historical records, the Reignbow Arbiter was born in approximately 1700 Star Calendar, and could not possibly have participated in the aforementioned events. This is evidently a misappropriation. This occurs repeatedly in the text from here on, and individual instances will not be noted further. “在新岸采掘琥珀” 指的是仙舟观测到星神“克里珀”的星墙。“于星渊抵御虚鲸”指的是仙舟联盟于星历 500 年前后与虚空歌鲸接触。这件事应该发生在 “采掘琥珀”之前，但诗人为了语言的流畅而颠倒了次序。此外，根据历史记录，帝弓出生于星历 1700 年前后，不可能参与上述事件。这显然是误用。这种错误还会多次出现，之后不再做详细说明。
[†7] "Puppets disempowered by iron mallets" refers to the Xianzhou people wresting control of the ships from the Aurumatons, starting around 1400 Star Calendar and finishing with the Heliobi Wars. "Slaying Viscorpus" recounts the Xianzhou's battle against the Viscorpus around 1200 Star Calendar. “锤打傀儡取回权力” 指的是仙舟民夺回仙舟控制权之事，此事起于星历 1400 年左右，终结于岁阳之战。“杀败视肉”说的是仙舟民在星历 1200 年左右与视肉作战的经历。

delve：洞穴的古语，即洞天。
Navium Astriger：星舰。navium 是拉丁语 navis（船只）的复数。astriger 由 astra（星星）和后缀 -ger（携带、承载）组成。
Celestial Comet Wall：星墙，字面意思是“天上的彗星墙”。
Aeon：星神。字面意思是“移涌”，指从神的体内流溢出来的属性。
void song whales：虚空歌鲸。
Heliobi：岁阳。由 helios（太阳）和 -bi（表示生物）组成。见前文“岁阳”条。
其二
君子磊磊驾玄兔，君子落落驭金乌。［注一］
缘见无根飘零火，未知岁阳是流毒。
不成文章能作祟，不凭诗酒可娱人。
须通幻化皆梦寐，休将悲欢飨鬼神。［注二］
［注一］在古国神话中，“玄兔”代指月亮，“金乌”代指太阳。此处指帝弓（仙舟）在宇宙中航行。

磊磊：形容石头堆叠。屈原《九歌·山鬼》：“采三秀兮于山间，石磊磊兮葛蔓蔓。”
落落：形容稀疏；性格孤高等。陆机《叹逝赋》：“亲落落而日稀，友靡靡而愈索。”左思《咏史诗》：“落落穷巷士，抱影守空庐。”
磊磊落落：形容胸怀坦荡。《晋书·载记第五》：“大丈夫行事当礌礌落落，如日月皎然……”
玄兔：代指月亮。谢庄《月赋》：“引玄兔于帝台，集素娥于后庭。”
金乌：代指太阳。传说太阳中有三足乌。
Part II 其二
In multitude, the Xianzhou piloted the Gloomy Hare. In solitude, the Xianzhou drove the Golden Crow.[†1] 人多之时，仙舟驾驶着忧兔；独处之时，仙舟驱动着金乌。
按：英译将磊磊和落落分别译出，取磊磊（石头）多之义，落落孤高不合群之义。
In destiny, they met the homeless floating flames, not knowing that the Heliobi was a poisonous woe. 造化弄人，他们遇到无家可归的漂浮火焰，不知这岁阳是有毒的祸害。
They can trick without words on paper. They can please without poetry or song. 他们无须纸笔就能骗人，他们不作诗歌就能怡人。
Know that illusions are but dreams, and careful to feed demons your joys or tears.[†2] 须知幻想不过是梦寐，要留心，别将欢乐与泪水交给魔鬼。
[†1] In the legends of the Primeval Imperium, the moon was a "Gloomy Hare," while the sun was a "Golden Crow." This refers to the Reignbow (the Xianzhou fleet) sailing across the galaxy. 在古国的传说中，月亮是一只“忧兔”，而太阳则是一只“金乌”。这句指帝弓（仙舟舰队）穿行星系。

燎燎：火盛的样子。《墨子·亲士》：“大水不潦潦，大火不燎燎。”
铁骨荐天艟：犹荐铁骨于天艟。荐：祭献。
The Reignbow perceived like a piercing light. Their bow-arm bent, ready to deal a warring blow. 帝弓就像一道夺目的光线。他张开弓，准备发起战斗。
The flaming demons did a red star make, deployed as bait as their fears grew.[†3] 火焰的恶魔愈发惶恐，它们做了一颗红星，当作诱饵。
Two thousand volunteers laid aside their lives. Their bones shall remain on the Navis Astriger, such was the vow. 两千志士舍命出战，誓将尸骨留在星舰。
[†3] "Red star" here refers to the red micro-star formed by the Heliobi to capture the Xianzhou fleet. 这里的“红星”指由岁阳组成、意图捕获仙舟的微型红色恒星。
坼以中驱铸作锥，携之凡胎同为槊。［注四］

刹那霆骇泄星飞，须臾红尽咽天河。［注六］

［注四］古国典籍有记载“军前锋曰先驱，次前曰中驱”。此处“中枢”代指仙舟曜青的副引擎。此句指帝弓带领的敢死队将副引擎拆解后武器化以对付岁阳。
［注五］“穹阁”指仙舟罗浮的聚居地“登云群阁”，一说指太卜司的“瞰云阁”。此处犹言爆炸波及范围之广。
［注六］据记载，仙舟的敢死队将武器化的副引擎送入岁阳构成的恒星，使其提早进入衰灭，坍缩成为黑洞。此句为仙舟文学史上对该演变过程的首次描写。
［注七］据记载，在对岁阳的战争结束后，仙舟民将岁阳首领“燧皇”封印，并判决其以无尽余生为仙舟朱明提供动力。
坼（chè）：裂开。此处犹拆下。
燧皇：燧人氏，三皇之一。
霆骇：雷震，形容迅猛。
缄：捆扎。此处泛指封印。
罗浮：见前文“曜青”条。
坍缩成为黑洞：恒星质量超过一定阈值便会演化为黑洞。因此，要使恒星快速变化为黑洞，就必须向恒星输入足够的物质或能量（质量与能量等价）。
朱明：见前文“曜青”条。又，朱明是夏天的别称。
Disassembling a centerguard engine to recast as a drill. With human flesh as its handle, forward they flew. [†4] 拆下中卫的发动机重铸为钻头。他们以肉身为把手，向前飞去。
Diving deep into the innards of the Flint Emperor, a thundering explosion the heavenly pavilions did feel. [†5] 深入燧帝的内部，惊雷般的爆炸连穹阁也感受到了。

自在身：佛教用语。指没有烦恼、舒适自在的身躯。又《管子·内业》：“有神自在身，一往一来，莫之能思。失之必乱，得之必治。”（本有神在心中，一时去一时来，没有人能猜想它。但心中失去了神就必定纷乱，得到了神就必定安定。）此句“身”为衍文。
野马：指游气。《庄子·逍遥游》：“野马也，尘埃也，生物之以息相吹也。”
涓尘：细水与微尘。
建木：树名。《山海经·海内南经》：“有木，其状如牛，引之有皮，若缨、黄蛇。其叶如罗，其实如栾，其木若蓲，其名曰建木。”《山海经·海内经》：“有木，青叶紫茎，玄华黄实，名曰建木，百仞无枝，有九欘，下有九枸，其实如麻，其叶如芒。大皞爰过，黄帝所为。”袁珂《中国神话通论》认为，各种传说树木中只有建木具有天梯性质。

In thriving, the Xianzhou piloted the Ice Toad. In meticulous care, the Xianzhou drove the Six Dragons. [†1] 繁荣昌盛之时，仙洲驾驶着冰蟾。兢兢业业之刻，仙洲驾驶着六龙。
The vast fleet sailed through time and space, and the title of Heaven's Mast a ship had humbly taken.[†2] 庞大的舰队穿越时空，一艘船谦卑地领受了天橦的称号。

泥犁：即“泥犂”，佛教用语，指地狱。此界一切皆无，是十界中最恶劣的境界。
嗔恚（huì）：愤怒。
耆（qí）宿：年高而素有德望的人。
褐夫：指贫贱之人。
The Reignbow merged with the jade, seeking epiphany, and the Wisdomwalker in dreams showed premonition. [†4] 帝弓与玉石融合，以求启示；遍智天君在梦中向他展露了预兆。
Yet everlasting prosperity and wisdom Reignbow did not see. There would be fields of corpses, blood soaken. 然而，帝弓看到的并不是永恒的繁荣与智慧。他看到了染血的大地遍布尸骸。

The Reignbow bounded with futile warnings, but was thought mad against diviners, mocked in derision. [†6] 帝弓被无用的警告困住，却被视为反对卜者，被人当成疯子，遭到嘲弄。

[†4] The motif of "merged with the jade" originated when the sage Xuan Yao embedding the jade abacus directly into the human skull to peer into the future. This is evidently a misappropriation. "Mutated" means the flesh is starting to produce mutated organs and can no longer maintain a stable humanoid form. "Forgetfulness" means the person's mind is taken over by a sense of emptiness, and spends their days in an oblivious daze. Reignbow in a rage scolded the nobles, calling greed for immortality as foolish as the ancient sovereign's obsession. [†7] 帝弓勃然大怒，斥责贵族贪图长生，与古之君王的执念一样愚昧。
The arbor branches were mere axles to the war chariot, and the Reignbow's fleeting arrow found the divine plantation. 建木的枝干不过是战车的轮轴，帝弓的快箭指向了神树。
Turning, the Reignbow released their flashing arrow to the tree, and fear and horror in human hearts stricken. 帝弓只一转身，向大树射出闪光的箭矢，众人的心中满是惊恐。
Yet exiled to cold coffins for long watchful sleep, this warrior of yesteryear all forgotten.[†8] 然而，昔日的勇士却被放逐于冰冷的棺材守眠，为世人所遗忘。
[†7] "Ancient sovereign's obsession" refers to the nameless sovereign who united the Primeval Imperium. The Reignbow thought the Xianzhou residents were blinded by the seduction of an endless lifespan and were no different from the nameless sovereign's rapacious fear of death. This drove Reignbow furious. “古之君王的执念”指统一古国的无名君王。帝弓认为仙舟民被无尽的寿命蒙蔽，与无名帝王害怕死亡的贪念无异，因而十分生气。
[†8] This section describes the Reignbow's opposition to immortality, and how they shot an arrow into the Ambrosial Arbor to show their resolve. The Xianzhou aristocrats who had eaten the fruit of immortality grew enraged and convicted them. However, awed by the Reignbow's heroic exploits and prestige, they could only sentence the hero to continual hibernation. "Watchful sleep" refers to the rotating cryo-sleep system used when the Xianzhou Alliance first left its home world. Part IV 其四
The years came and went, as the fleet floated in uncertainty. 时光飞逝，舰队前路茫茫。
Muldrasil the gigantic we first beheld, as it sucked the stars' energies till all were empty. 我们先看到巨大的穹桑，它吸取繁星的能量，使它们都变得空虚。

[Postscript] This part describes the "Flaming Catastrophe," one of the Three Sufferings of the Era of Bloodshed (approximately 5000 — 8000 Star Calendar). At the time, the Xianzhou Zhuming detected gravity waves from a massive object, but failed to capture any light signals. Only when the Xianzhou Alliance drew nearer did the stargazers realize that this massive object was a Dyson tree feeding off nearby stars. It was also the mortal enemy of the Primeval Imperium — Muldrasil, homeland of the Wingweavers. What petrified the Xianzhou even more was that the ship behemoths of the Viscorpus also appeared. The Viscorpus were directed by the Wingweavers, and the two races were living in a symbiotic relationship. As if attracted by the power of the Ambrosial Arbor, Muldrasil slowly began approaching the Luofu, and the most epic battle in the history of Xianzhou soon broke out. Fatigued from the Civil War (the "Living Catastrophe" of the Three Sufferings), the aurumaton rebellion, and their emigration plan, the Xianzhou residents were powerless to counter such a crisis. They released all the prisoners in cryo-hibernation — including the hero of this epic ode, the Reignbow.
[附言] 本节描述了“火劫”，是血战时代（约星历 5000—8000 年）的“三劫”之一。当时，仙舟朱明探测到了某个巨大物体的重力波，但未能捕获到任何光信号。等到仙舟联盟靠近后，观星士才意识到那个巨大的物体是一棵从附近恒星获取营养的戴森树。它也是古国的死敌——造翼者的故乡穹桑。让仙舟更为恐惧的是，视肉巨兽舰也出现了。视肉由造翼者直接指挥，两个种族以共生关系生活。穹桑仿佛被建木的力量吸引，慢慢地接近罗浮，仙舟史上最激烈的战争旋即爆发。此时仙舟因为内战（三劫之一的"生劫"）、金人起义和移民计划而疲弱不堪，无力应对这样的危机。于是，他们释放了所有低温休眠中的囚犯，包括这首史诗颂歌的主角——帝弓。
Flaming Catastrophe：火劫。字面意思是“火焰灾难”。
Three Sufferings：三劫。字面意思是“三次苦难”。
Era of Bloodshed：血战时代。字面意思是“流血时代”。
gravity wave：重力波。重力波是两种介质界面间的一种波，和引力波（gravitational wave）不是一回事。探测引力和探测引力波也不是一回事。
stargazer：观星士。
Civil War：阋墙之战。字面意思是“内战”。
Living Catastrophe：生劫。字面意思是“生存灾难”。

帝弓崔嵬立艏楼，提膂岿然开轩辕。［注一］
劝君忘生固决死，今当快战挽狂澜。［注二］
愿教身后总常胜，负勇怀毅荡妖寇。［注三］
［注一］“轩辕”为古国神话中名弓，此处代指帝弓的武器。
［注二］此句转折略显生硬，加之后句或可判断为帝弓在战场上作阵前演讲，以提振士气；一说为帝弓知晓今当陨落，故留遗言。

崔嵬：高耸的样子。李白《蜀道难》：“剑阁峥嵘而崔嵬，一夫当关，万夫莫开。”

The Reignbow stood constant at the helm, steady with Xuanyuan, holding firm. [†1] 帝弓牢牢地站在舵轮旁，稳稳握住轩辕。
Forget life, and be convinced in your resolve for death. Now, in swift battle we shall rebuke the swarm. [†2] 忘记生命，坚定必死之决心。现在，我们要在速战之中教训这群人。
In the future may we always triumph, and cleanse the enemy with courage and vigor and arms. [†3] 将来我们也会常胜不败，用勇气、力量和武器扫除敌人。
[†1] "Xuanyuan" is a famed bow of legend from the Primeval Imperium. Here, it refers to the Reignbow's weapon. “轩辕”是古国传说中的名弓。这里指的是帝弓的武器。
[†2] This line transitions rather bluntly. Together with the next line, it is possibly a speech by the Reignbow to boost morale before the battle. Another interpretation is that the Reignbow knew their death was near, and deliberately left their final words. 这句话的转折相当突兀。它与下一句话一起，可能是帝弓在战前鼓舞士气的讲话。另一种解释是，帝弓知道自己死之将至，故意留下了遗言。

玉带琳琅穿云海，力尽一矢贯星斗。
天上骇浪惊电走，地头翻墨乱雷崩。
镞影坠落三山月，镝鸣高升百谷风。
虚陵魄动昼雨血，方壶魂惊夜飞红。［注四］
灵木百仞具颓圮，澌流觱泄溃虚空。［注五］
［注四］据记载，在本次战役中，各仙舟与穹桑距离由近及远排列如下：曜青、罗浮、玉阙、朱明、方壶、苍城、虚陵，可见虚陵与方壶位置皆靠后；另据记载，帝弓应是在仙舟曜青船首拉弓射击。此句犹指帝弓裂天一射波及范围之大，仙舟联盟全部舰船都受其影响。
［注五］据记载，帝弓一射破坏建木、贯穿巨兽，断开了仙舟罗浮与穹桑的连接；现场撕开一通向虚空深处的裂口，巨大的虚数力量从中喷涌流溢。本句正是描述了此种状况。
翻墨：形容云黑如打翻墨水。苏轼《六月二十七日望湖楼醉书》：“黑云翻墨未遮山，白雨跳珠乱入船。”
三山月：不详。或许为“三山”+“月”。“三山”即海中仙山方壶、瀛洲、蓬莱（见上文“圆峤”条），而古人认为月从海中出。
镝鸣：当为“鸣镝”，响箭。
百谷风：不详。或许为“百”+“谷风”。“谷风”为东风；一说为谷中之风，是大风。
虚陵：洞天名。《云笈七签》：“第七峨媚山洞 周回三百里，名曰虚陵洞天。在嘉州峨媚县，真人唐览治之。”（此为三十六小洞天之第七。）
方壶：见前文“圆峤”条。
颓圮：坍塌。
澌流觱（bì）泄：指水流走。澌，流水。“觱”通“滭”，水涌出。韩上桂《游七星岩黑洞火尽崖出题岩上石壁》：“阴潭水黑腹沉虹，澌流觱泄咽金咙。”
玉阙：传说中天帝、仙人居住的宫阙。
Dazzling jade whistled through space, as the full might of the arrow pierced the stars and gloom. 璀璨的玉笛在太空中呼啸而过，箭矢全力穿透繁星与黑暗。
The skies billowed in a lightning sea, and the planets cracked open in thunderous inky doom. 天空掀起闪电的波涛，行星在雷鸣的黑暗中撕裂。
The arrow fell from mountains' heights, and arrowhead whistling loud as valley gales that loom. 箭从山峰高处坠落，箭锋的呼啸如同峡谷中的狂风那样响亮。
Blood rain poured upon the Xuling and nights turned crimson on the Fanghu, all souls shaken to their very bone. [†4] 血雨倾泻在虚陵之上，方壶的夜晚变为深红，所有人都感受到入骨的震颤。
The sentient timber all shrivelled and collapsed, torn asunder with void forces in torrential streams. [†5] 有感知的枝木全都枯萎崩塌，被虚空之力撕裂为洪流。
[†4] The historical record shows the battle formation during this war was in this order, from the nearest to Muldrasil to the furthest: the Yaoqing, the Luofu, the Yuque, the Zhuming, the Fanghu, the Cangcheng, and the Xuling. The Xuling and Fanghu were far from the frontlines. Other records point to the Reignbow firing their arrow from the bow of the Yaoqing. This line describes the size of the impact from the Reignbow's star-shattering shot, and how every ship in the Xianzhou Alliance was affected. 按历史记载，这场战争中，距离穹桑由近到远的是：曜青、罗浮、玉阙、朱明、方壶、苍城和虚陵。虚陵和方壶离前线很远。其他记载认为，帝弓的箭矢是从曜青的船首上射出的。这表明帝弓的歼星一击威力巨大，仙舟联盟中的每艘飞船都受到了影响。
[†5] Based on historical records, the Reignbow's arrow smashed into the Ambrosial Arbor, penetrated the almighty beast, and severed the connection between the Luofu and Muldrasil. This ripped open a fissure into the void, and a monstrous wave of imaginary force spewed forth from it. This line describes that event. 根据历史记载，帝弓的箭矢击破建木，穿透了强大的巨兽，切断了罗浮和穹桑的联系。这一击也撕开了虚空裂缝，一股巨大的虚数力量从中喷涌而出。这句话描述了这个事件。

罅（xià）：缝隙。
泫然：流泪的样子。
When the clouds and dust had diffused, the fae king and the Reignbow were nowhere to be seen. [†6] 等到云雾和尘埃散去，精灵王和帝弓已经不见了踪影。
Only their arms did remain and were reforged, cast into ingots, committed to Jiyuan gloom. 只有他们的武器留了下来，被重铸成古锭，发射到寂元的黑暗之中。
To electromagnetic cloud those were sent, to circle the skies and shine with stellar bloom. [†7] 它们被送入磁云，在天空环形，闪耀着星光。
Sorrow and lamentation amongst the stars spread, tears and cries for their end, unfathomed. 悲伤和哀悼遍布星际间，人们为他们生死未卜的结局流泪哭泣。
Woe is the hero and all their shed tears. They no longer chase the Luofu, but other stars that roam. 英雄不幸，他们流下的泪水也何其悲哀。他们不再追随罗浮，而去往了其他漫游的恒星。
[†6] Based on historical records, the Reignbow disappeared after shooting the arrow that turned the tide of battle, but the Flint Emperor had left behind part of their body. This line claims that the Xianzhou people could find neither of them. Perhaps this poem records mere rumor. 根据历史记载，帝弓在射出扭转战局的一箭后便消失了，但燧皇留下了一部分身体，这句话却说仙舟民没有找到他们。也许这首诗只记下了谣传。
[†7] "Ingot," "Jiyuan," "electromagnetic cloud," and "circle" in these two lines describe how the people of Xianzhou, in commemorating the Reignbow's sacrifice, embedded their relics into a Jiyuan ingot and launched it into Muldrasil's orbit, so it can shine as long as the star exists. There is no mention of such in existing records, and the incident may be poetic license from the author. Moreover, this is the first ever mention of the Jiyuan Ingot launch ceremony in the history of Xianzhou literature, but neither the time that this custom started nor the date of this ode's composition can be verified. 这两句话中的“古锭”“寂元”“磁云”和“环形”描述了仙舟民为纪念帝弓的牺牲，将其遗物嵌入积元古锭中，并发射到穹桑的轨道上，与之共同闪耀。现有记载中没有提到这样的事情，这件事可能是作者出于诗意写入。此外，这是仙舟文学史上第一次提到寂元古锭发射仪式，但这个习俗诞生的时间和这首颂歌的创作日期都无从可考。
