Singing a song with cups of drink,

That days are short is what I think.

对酒当歌，人生几何。

They are like dews in morning early,

Therefore, I feel suffered for time gone surely.

譬如朝露，去日苦多。

The voice hears extremely exciting,

But it's unforgettable what I'm concerning.

慨当以慷，忧思难忘。

How can I make my worry reduce?

A bottle of wine may do good use.

何以解忧，唯有杜康。

Your collar is so blue, and my heart is so true.

青青子衿，悠悠我心。

However, in the reason of you,

I've lost in thought with time through.

但为君故，沉吟至今。

Deers have their voices spread around,

Eating the herb on the ground.

呦呦鹿鸣，食野之苹。

When there are guests arriving to my place,

I'll play the instruments in pace.

我有嘉宾，鼓瑟吹笙。

So bright and similar to the moon,

How am I to pick you down able?

明明如月，何时可掇？

So becoming more and more upset,

This mood seems so unstoppable.

忧从中来，不可断绝。

Those from afar travel the paths crossing,

To visit the place where I'm living.

越陌度阡，枉用相存。

Meeting again to drink and let talk last,

Remembering the emotion and those days of past.

契阔谈讌，心念旧恩。

Starlight is sparse for the moon is bright,

As the crows are on their migrating flight.

月明星稀，乌鹊南飞。

Flying for thousand times around the tree,

Not finding a branch to be relieved and free.

绕树三匝，何枝可依？

A mountain doesn't satisfy for its height,

And a sea doesn't content for it's deep.

山不厌高，海不厌深。

Like Zhou Gong who threw up his meal for the talented,

Heroes all over the world I wanna keep.

周公吐哺，天下归心。
