[成龙历险记|西玉|全英]天行不息 08 Sincerity Breaks Stone

“Jade, this time you…Jade?” Jackie sent Captain Black away and went back to the Rare Finds, just finding Jade missing.
“Alas, fortunately, eight demons and the Dark Chi wizard were all defeated, otherwise I can’t imagine how hurried I’d be.”
“But Jackie, I feel Jade is quite lost,” Tohru said.
“So do I. Why can’t Jade get along well with so many students and treat a demon as a friend.”
“Aiiee-yaahh!” Uncle suddenly thought of something.
“There were no talismans generated after we turned Hsi Wu into a statue.”
“Does it matter?” Jackie asked.
“Of course. No talisman means the demon’s power was not extracted and has yet remained in his body. Uncle is afraid this kind of seal is very unstable.”
“Then Uncle, you should do more research.”
“Uncle has tried his best. To produce this magic, Uncle has checked out a lot of materials. Uncle adds some of his own experience to Lo Pei’s magic. Uncle has been overjoyed to see it works this time.”
“Then Uncle, you make some further improvements according to your experiences.”
“This is Uncle’s best experience! Uncle’s experience is to add garlic as much as possible,” Uncle said with a string of garlic in hand, smiling.
“Alas, then do you know in which condition will the magic be unhexed?”
“Maybe in the condition when the demon is stimulated.”
Jackie scratched his head and smiled in relief. “Then no problem, who will be so leisure to stimulate a demon? ... Jade!”
Jackie’s heart tightened. He took out the phone and called Jade.
“Jade, where did you go?”
“Don’t worry, Jackie, I’m in the Moose World with Drew and others.”
Hearing Jade’s words, Jackie was relieved and somewhat pleased. It seemed that Jade was finally able to get on well with her classmates.
Section 13, Jade made her way along the exhaust pipe to Hsi Wu’s cell.
“Jade, I know you won’t leave me alone!” Hsi Wu was very excited, though he was not able to have any expression now.
“Hsi Wu, you told me why you read Uncle’s magic books secretly and why you went to Spain to arouse the tower!” Jade did not speak softly, straightly uncovering the topic.
“I’m so sorry. I’d also say sorry to Jackie, Uncle and Tohru. I read the magic book only to protect myself. I’m afraid of Uncle’s magic. As for the tower, can’t I have a look at my home thousands of years ago. And I didn’t hurt anybody in Spain.”
“Deceiving! Go on deceiving! Hsi Wu, do you know how disappointed I am? This time we protected the Book of Ages together and I really treated you as my friend although I had known you were a demon. Dare you say you didn’t have any intention to rule the world these days?”
“Jade, I dare not say.”
“But I dare say I am sincere when I come back from Spain this time. I have realized that a sincere friend is much more important than ruling the world.”
“Wish you didn’t lie this time. But Hsi Wu, how could you make me trust you again in face of all those things you have done?”
“Jade, you came to Section 13 alone, which means you still trust me.”
Jade turned backed, not wanting to let Hsi Wu see she was a little moved. She adjusted her mood and took out the necklace of half a copper coin from her pocket.
“This is what I gave you at that time. You took it off when battling. Now return it to you.”
Jade put the necklace on Hsi Wu.
Suddenly, the statue emitted a dazzling light. Hsi Wu broke the sealing magic!
Jade and Hsi Wu were both surprised.
Hsi Wu immediately turned to Seymour, looking down at the copper coin necklace worn around his neck. Tears emerged in his eyes for the first time in thousands of years.
Hsi Wu and Jade hugged together.
“Jade, to be honest, sometimes I can’t overcome evil thoughts in my heart.”
“Seymour, believe in yourself. You can make it. We strive for it together.”
“You released me and will Uncle blame you?”
“Don’t worry about me, not to mention it’s not me who released you. I don’t know the magic to turn you back. We leave here.”
“Then Jade, I don’t hope to get out through the main gate because this will trigger Section 13’s alarm. Do you know some passages that won’t trigger the alarm?”
“That’s easy, follow me!”
Hsi Wu followed Jade, entering the exhaust pipe.
“Didn’t expect you have the talent for secret service,” Hsi Wu said with a smile.
The two got out of Section 13.
“I should have gone to the Rare Finds to apologize and should try to integrate into you. But now, I do fear petrification magic. I’ll live outside for several days and I won’t follow you. Hope Uncle and others can gradually accept me.”
“Well, then where will you live?”
“Certainly my favorite high places,” Hsi Wu said, spreading the wings and flying toward the sky.
“Take care of yourself!”
“You, too!” Jade waved her arms.
Jade walked towards home, complex thoughts in her heart.
“Aiiee-yaahh! Uncle finds this kind of petrification magic can only work once. If demons break it, they will get immunized forever.”
“Sensei, I’m afraid now Hsi Wu doesn’t fear the flute anymore. I recalled the book he read secretly that night. It had the content of breaking flute magic.”
Captain Black called in at this time.
“Jackie, Hsi Wu escaped.”
“What? How could it be possible? Only when someone stimulates the demon, can the petrification magic be removed.” At this time, Jade pushed the door and got in.
“Jade!”
“Jade, you didn’t visit Hsi Wu and stimulate him, did you?”
Jade nodded.
“Alas,” Jackie Chan covered his head. “You should know exactly this is not something interesting, Jade.”
“But Jackie, I don’t know why he suddenly broke the seal and I feel he…”
“Uncle, what should we do?”
“Do nothing but run Uncle’s Rare Finds well. We can do nothing now.”
Jade thought about the principle of Hsi Wu breaking the seal and suddenly relieved a lot instead.
“Uncle, is it only when Hsi Wu is stimulated that this kind of magic can be removed?”
“According to Uncle’s research, that’s right.”
“Then Uncle, I think it’s not something bad. This indicates Hsi Wu was really moved. He’s not so dangerous at least now.”
“Um? What did you say to him.”
“Um…It’s a personal secret. But Uncle, I promise it’s not the kind of stimulation which makes him annoyed.”
“Oh,” Uncle supported his eyeglasses, seeming to be in thought.
“No matter what the situation is, the most important thing now is to run Uncle’s Rare Finds well!”
“Jade too. No matter what the situation is, the most important thing for you is to go to school without distraction.”
Jade went to school and Jackie, Uncle and Tohru went to buy some daily necessities.
These days, Hsi Wu had been staying on the top of the skyscraper where he once kidnapped Uncle. In fact, he wanted to go to the school to visit Jade. But he dared not be too close to Jade for in this way he may encounter Uncle. He was very afraid of the petrification magic. Finally enjoying the fresh air of freedom after so many years of captivity, it would be unimaginably bitter if he lost it again.
“It’ll be nice to have a taste of human food.” Hsi Wu thought.
Hsi Wu turned into a human and conjured a stack of dollars, walking into a cookie store.
“Two boxes of cookies.”
Hsi Wu took the cookies out of the shop door, only to see Jackie and others coming.
“Aiiee-yaahh!”
Hsi Wu posed a full smile on his face but was afraid in his heart.
“Hello, Uncle Jackie. Where is Jade? Oh, at school…”
“Remember Tohru likes to eat cookies. This is for you.” Hsi Wu put the boxes of cookies in hand on the ground and spread the wings hurriedly to fly away.
“Ah! He can fly!” Seeing this scene, the boss of the cookie store was amazed.
Tohru picked up the cookies, ripped a little mouth and tasted a slice.
“Didn’t expect what Hsi Wu bought is my favorite flavor,” Tohru said with a smile.
When the three walked near home, a thunderstorm with hail suddenly fell. It was nothing strange when it was early summer.
However, it was Hsi Wu who generated the storm.
Hsi Wu was rather annoyed after he fled. On thinking of how absurdly the demon monarch was bullied by a few mortals, he wanted to bring a weather disaster to San Francisco.
However, lightning from the dark clouds hit directly Hsi Wu’s copper coin necklace. The copper coin floated with the effect of electric force.
Looking at the sparkling copper coin necklace, Hsi Wu thought of his dialogues with Jade.
“Jade, to be honest, sometimes I can’t overcome evil thoughts in my heart.”
“Seymour, believe in yourself. You can make it. We strive for it together.”
“Go away!” The dark clouds floated away and the thunderstorm stopped.
“Jade, I don’t want you to be disappointed again. I am bound to defeat my evil thoughts.” Hsi Wu held the copper coin necklace tightly in hand.
On the last day of the term, at the gate of the school, Jade went home alone, only to see Hsi Wu waiting for her.
“Seymour!” Jade ran to Hsi Wu.
“Jade! I hadn’t dared to visit you but I can’t help waiting any longer so come to take a look. What are your plans for the vacation?”
“We have planned to travel. We’ll go to Japan first to visit Tohru’s mother and are going to set out tomorrow. It’s a pity that you can’t go with us yet.”
“Chances will come in the future. Hope you have fun! But Jade, did Uncle and others think of me differently these days according to your observation?”
“They didn’t mention you very often. But there’s still a difference. They said you were a relatively well-behaved demon.”
Hsi Wu smiled after hearing this.
“Seymour, Uncle they sealed you and do you blame them for this?”
“I can understand them. They are not wrong in terms of my inner evil.”
“I believe in you. Come on! You are brave to admit your inner evil, which is awesome.”
“Thank you, Jade.”
Hsi Wu watched Jade walk back to Chinatown under the slanting sun.
