美国造谣新冠病毒来自武汉病毒研究所？外媒：为应对不力找替罪羊
近日，美国总统特朗普、国务卿蓬佩奥等美国官员多次散布所谓“新冠病毒源于中国武汉病毒研究所”的言论，称新冠病毒为“人工合成”，并表示应对此进行调查。
Lately US President Trump, Secretary Pompeo and other US officials have claimed on many occasions that COVID-19 originated from a lab in Wuhan, where the virus may have been artificially synthesized, and investigations should be conducted.

尽管蓬佩奥等人极力兜售这一荒谬的阴谋论，但事实却十分打脸。
近期，《纽约时报》一篇深度调查稿件中披露，美国政府费尽心机寻找新冠病毒来自武汉病毒研究所的证据，结果啥都没找到。
这篇题为《复盘美国新冠疫情：特朗普为何忽视警告、一错再错》（He Could Have Seen What Was Coming: Behind Trump’s Failure on the Virus）的文章中提到， 国家安全事务副主任马修·波廷格（Matthew Pottinger）、一个“对华鹰派人士”（China hawk），惯用“阴谋论”看中国，他一直怀疑新冠病毒来自武汉病毒研究所，甚至动用中情局（CIA）等情报机构寻找证据。
During meetings and telephone calls, Pottinger asked intelligence agencies — including officers at the CIA working on Asia and on weapons of mass destruction — to search for evidence that might bolster his theory.

世卫组织：证据表明病毒起源于动物
4月21日，世界卫生组织对“病毒源于实验室”的阴谋论进行了反驳。世卫组织发言人法德拉·沙伊卜表示，就现有证据来看，这一病毒起源于动物而非实验室人为制造。
The UN health agency, the World Health Organization (WHO) says that all available evidence suggests the novel coronavirus originated in animals late last year and was not manipulated or produced in a laboratory.

科学界：新冠病毒为自然形成
目前，已有大量科学研究表明此次新冠病毒来源于自然，没有证据表明该病毒由人工合成。
美国斯克里普斯研究所（Scripps Research Institute）早在3月17日就发布报告表示，新冠病毒是自然形成的。

❶ In one scenario, the virus evolved to its current pathogenic state through natural selection in a non-human host and then jumped to humans. This is how previous coronavirus outbreaks have emerged, with humans contracting the virus after direct exposure to civets (SARS) and camels (MERS).

美媒：美政府欲找“替罪羊”掩盖其失败
面对科学界针对新冠病毒起源的研究“选择性失明”，却大肆宣传“病毒源于中国实验室”的阴谋论，部分美国政客和右翼媒体的这波操作为哪般？
美国Buzzfeed新闻网在相关报道中指出，福克斯和其他右翼媒体传播的这个具有煽动性且未经证实的阴谋论正迎合了特朗普及其支持者的口味，因为这很容易成为他们无力应对新冠肺炎的“替罪羊”。

The origin of the virus is a matter of science that should be left to scientists and medical professionals. It should not be politicized.
据约翰斯·霍普金斯大学数据，截至美东时间24日17:31，美国新冠肺炎确诊病例为890524例，死亡51017例。与该系统约24小时前的数据相比，美国新增感染病例26109例，新增死亡病例3125例。
最后为特朗普政府送上一个建议，与其极力甩锅，大肆散布“阴谋论”，不如把时间和精力用来好好抗击疫情，毕竟每天大幅增长的死亡数据背后，是一个个鲜活的生命。
