Defeat others is powerful, defeat oneself is strong. Enough is enough, know enough is wealthy, go all out is ambitious, not lose one's inner spirit could last long, one who is dead in flesh but alive in spirit gains longevity. 将欲翕之，必固张之。将欲弱之，必固强之。将欲去之，必固举之。将欲夺之，必固予之。 Open it before you close it. Strengthen it before you weaken it. Heave it before you toss it. Giving before depriving. 五色令人目盲，五音令人耳聋，五味令人口爽，驰骋畋猎令人心发狂，难得之货令人行妨。 Colours dazzle eyes, sounds deafen ears, tastes dysfunction tongue, hunting maddens hearts, treasures hinder directions. 天之道，损有餘而补不足。人之道，则不然，损不足以奉有餘。 The Nature decreases surplus for shortage. Humankind decreases shortage for surplus. 不争，故天下莫能与之争。 Compare not with others makes one man invincible. 轻诺必寡信，多易必多难。 Promises easily made are rarely kept, easy choices leads to troubles. (The third time when she was given to choose between the hard and the easy, and she chose the easy.) 上士闻道，勤能行之。中士闻道，若存若亡。下士闻道，大笑之。弗笑，不足以为道。 Respectable ones always work hard, minor ones work hard from time to time, inferior ones laugh at working hard. “道”太难翻译了，仓促选了个意译，用了work hard来表示“行道”，怎么圆最后一句？
